Chapter four
I was afraid. I was alone. The rain had settled slightly, and I was still lying in the deep mud. Without a doubt it was my destiny, the Almighty had picked this one spot of mud. Wither it be to die, to be found once again by my herd, to be captured. Why would it be my destiny? How could it be my destiny? Was it even my destiny? No. No it wasn’t. This wasn’t at all what The Almighty Father had planned for me. I had to get up. I needed to survive. As long as I followed my destiny, I would die happy. I urged myself up and made my way towards a small bunch of trees. I looked down below me, and saw a small camp, filled with young girls and boys. I began to move down slowly. I soon reached my destination. As I got closer, I realised it was the young people from before. One of them ran her hand over my neck. A boy handed her a rope, and she led me into a small fenced in area. She placed a blanket of water in front of me, and a stack of freshly plucked grass and apples fresh off the trees. I laid down and watched as they began to move. It soon became dark, and I felt safe, so I fell asleep. *** I woke up, and drank the cool water. It made my lips cool and wet, and gave a refreshing sensation. The same young lady slipped a soft and loose rope over my neck and led me to a running river. She took it off. “Off you go. Find your family. I hope I’ve helped.” She softly smacked my rump as she left. I took small steps across the river and stopped in the middle for a drink. A large fish went right in between my legs and scared me to death. I shied over the side. A few others went down. One stopped as it flipped onto its side. I put my muzzle down and nudged it. It flipped back over and went flipping down the river. I whinnied as it joined it’s family. I let out a saddened cry as I stumbled out of the running river. As I continued on, I lifted my head and saw something so amazing it looked like it was from a dream. So many to choose. But who? And why were they here?
