Chapter 2: 'Misconception of him'

[Day 2 at the SBS studio]

I finally came back to the studio the next day. I was terrified of the tension and possible hostility I would face when I got there. However, when I arrived, no one seemed to even remember the incident. I know most of the staff was just trying to avoid even bringing the mishap up, but I couldn't help but think the situation hadn't been properly resolved. But regardless, I got over it and fought to focus on what mattered. The preparation for next weeks Inkigayo was in full swing now. Will I see Minho today? Will he approach me?

[Later]

"Shinee to the stage for afternoon rehearsal. I repeat, Shinee to the stage for afternoon rehearsal."

So I guess they are here today. I don't know why I figured anything else. They just had their comeback last week, they're not going anywhere any time soon. Regardless, theres no need to avoid them. I'm not going to make that "mistake" again. I know how to act. plus, Minho is a celebrity. To ever think I had a chance, or that he was ever really interested is beyond me. I just need to stick to working. I don't need to get sucked into the mess that is anti fans. Who knows? maybe he's a really conceded, ignorant and arrogant individual. I mean from the celebrities I've met, theres always something wrong with them-- either they think they run things, or they think they are invincible,above the law. Is he any different? Probably not. Imean look at him and how he just bathes in the love of his fans. He's on top of the world, he couldnt help but to be a little conceded. The number one thing I look for in a guy is humility...something which I'm sure, he doesnt possess. So let me get over him before anything goes any further.

[After the stage]

"사랑해 (I love you)!" Screams Minho.

Look at him. All the girls are just swooning over him. I should be appreciative that he stood up for me the other night, but I can't help but think that he was just flexing his muscles. He must think he's some superstar. He should probably get over himself. I mean even the lead singer, the guy whos always in the middle is acting more reserved than him right now. They all bow to show their respect for the staff and the fans but Minho just has this aura to him. Like as if it doesnt phase him, like its just another day on the Minho show. I don't like it.

"안녕 (Hi)!" Minho exclaims.

"Oh..hi" I awkwardly respond.

"Are you ok?" He questioned.

"Yeah im fine. Why do you ask"

"Oh no reason, its just that you seem kind of reserved, taken aback. are you sure nothing is wrong?"

"I'm positive. Do you want something to be wrong"

"No, but is that a threat?"

"No not at all."

"Well it...its just that your kind of acting--standoffish."

"I'm fine, i'm just tired."

"Did you not go home early last night...did the staff not let you leave?"

"No they did. I'm just getting used to the time difference I guess."

Oh crap the staff is coming over...

"WELL GREAT JOB BOYS! Just make sure you keep your eyes out for the main cam and come out with some great gestures and faces to entice the viewers. They've waited all day to see you guys, dont let them down! FIGHTING!" I exclaimed!

"Uhmmm, ok. Great.Thanks?" Minho questioned and walked off with the rest of the boys, after conversing with the main/head PD.

[After the Show]

"Hey!" Minho exclaimed once he had caught up to me.

"Oh hi... again." I said in a monotone manner.

"Here. Hopefully this will help you ease into a heavier sleep. we travel a lot so I know exactly what your going through with the whole time difference thing. If it makes you feel any better, you can run off a lot less sleep than you could ever really imagine. If your ever feeling tired, the best thing to do is just block it out. Eventually your mind and body will do the same."

"Oh, thanks" I said in a little more of an uplifted voice.

"Sure. see you next week?"

"Yeah, yeah you will"

I guess, he's not as bad as I thought. I mean what was I thinking. No one is perfect. Maybe he's not always humble. But he is nice. Regardless of if he was flexing muscle, he helped me, for the second time now. That's not just a coincidence. He obviously is just a nice individual. Maybe I should give him more of a chance. I mean I'm not going to be easy on him. But I will give him a chance to show me who he is, and what he's all about.

[His Point of View]

Oh, she's here today too--oh thats right, she did say she'd be here for the summer. I wonder how shes been, have the staff been treating her well--I hope so. Should I approach her? Or should I just give her some space? Our first meeting was kind of awkward, I don't want to screw anything up.

The fans are extremely excited today. It's been a week since our comeback, and I guess since the mini album has had time to simmer, the fans seem to be even more in love with the songs. I love my fans. They appreciate all the things that me and the other boys go through to make them good music. All the sleepless nights, all the struggles and lack of privacy. I don't know where i'd be if I wasn't doing music; modeling? sports? who knows? But I do know that im proud to be where I am, and thats thanks to my fans. Even now, I'm completely exhausted from all these comeback stages. I haven't eaten many proper meals, all I eat are little dressing room finger foods. well this is the life I chose for myself, and still I can say...

"사랑해!"

Oh shes tired, that makes sense. Well the best way to a girls heart is through...well her heart. Just treat her well. Take care of her. Once she knows you have feelings for her, her feelings for you will only become greater. So until then I guess i'll just shower her in care. Maybe I can get the manager hyung to stop by the dorm and grab me that relaxing/therapeutic tea that I got from Thailand. I'm sure she'd love it! I've never been so smitten by someone in all my life. So I hope this works out.

Any better? I think the story is developing a little bit. Let me know what you think. I'm really liking the direction I'm going in with this, so if you want a chapter 3...let me know. They only take an hour or two to write since they arent to long and are majority narration and dialogue.
