(Sarah's POV)

I was being led by Graves to some type of control room.

Once we got there, he motioned to a chair, and I sat. He then sat in his own, and looked at me. "Hey. If you do good, we won't have to send you down."

I furrowed my brows. "Send me down? What do you mean by that?" I asked as I set the Smart Pistol that was in the holster on my waist, by my side.

He sighed and pulled up what I assumed to be live footage of a ship, as there were people moving around. "This is The Odyssey. An important ship to us. Seems as if the Militia has recruited one of our ex-members. James MacAllan, to be exact. We are sending troops down there to try and stop them. And if I don't think you are doing well, I'm sending ya down into the battle."

I nodded. "I understand. Uh, so, who's down there right now? The Militia or the IMC?"

Graves sighed. "The Militia. We are sending our troops down now."

Just as he said that, Drop Pods fell into view, and IMC infantry, including Grunts, Spectres, and Pilots, climbed out. I then saw something that caught my eye. Running to cover was a man and a woman, the woman significantly smaller than the man. I then something hit me. The woman looked familiar. I then turned to Graves. "Is there a way for me to focus on that area over there?" I asked as I pointed to an area of the sceen.

He nodded. "Yeah. Give me a few seconds and I can pull it up."

Once he did, I was at a loss for words. I didn't know who the man was, but I recognized the woman. It was Meg. What was she doing on the ground?!

I then turned to the screen that was in front of me, and it had data about the time remaining for Titanfall accessibility for all the IMC Pilots that were down there. One of them turned green, then started flashing about five seconds after it turned green. I instinctively pressed it, and in the box, the words 'Standby for Titanfall' appeared in the box. I then looked at Graves. "Uh. Was that a good thing?"

Graves nodded. "Yeah. A Pilot called in for their Titan, since it was ready. Up here, our job is to make sure that we call them in when they want them."

I nodded. "Makes sense."

We did this for about ten minutes, then an alarm started to beep, and Graves turned it off and looked at me. "Well, looks like we need to send ya down."

I looked at him. "Why's that?"

"During combat, a Pilot's Respawn Pack got damaged, causing him to actually die in battle. It rarely happens, but we need to be ready."

I looked at him. "A... Respawn Pack?"

Graves nodded, patting a sealed off pack on my armor, just above my waist. "That right there. Respawn packs allow Pilots to respawn, good as new. But if you don't have that Pack, or it gets damaged, it's game over for you," he continued. "We only give these to Pilots, as they are the most important and skilled fighters we have. 99% of the time casualties from a battle are Spectres and Grunts."

I nodded. "O-ok. Is there anything else I'm going to need?"

He nodded. "Yeah. Here. Take three of thses," he said producing a stack of Burn Cards.

I sifted through, and took a Map Hack, Ghost Squad, and a Amped LMG Burn Card.

Graves then led me to a Drop Pod, where there were three Grunts, all male, and I loaded in. I kept to myself.
