*Sophia’s P.O.V*

Last period came around, and I had seen no signs of Kian or JC. The teacher was trying to explain to us about the Great War, but to be honest, I really don’t care. I couldn’t take my mind off Kian; I can’t believe he actually punched his best friend for a girl he hardly knows.

My thoughts were interrupted as the classroom door swung open, and two bruised faces walked in the classroom, earning gasps from all our classmates. I immediately stood up, and ran over to Kian. I wrapped my arms around his torso, and he wrapped his arms around me and gave me a kiss on the head. It sent shivers down my spine.

“Are you okay?” I said in a breath.

“Yeah, I’m fine now” He said, giving me a wink.

I could feel myself smiling like an idiot. I untangled myself from his arms, and we both went and sat in the back row together.

“Yeah, ditch me no worries” Lillie said sarcastically.

“Come sit here Lil” I laughed, motioning for her to sit on the desk beside me.

She made her way over. I noticed how JC was sitting in the front row. I kind of felt sorry for him. Sam moved his books over to sit next to Lillie. I could faintly hear Lillie sigh, but it wasn’t loud enough for Sam to hear.

“So, what do we have to do?” Kian asked, looking at the whiteboard.

“You’re asking me?” I laughed.

He laughed at me, and stuck his hand up waiting for the teacher’s assistance. I may be really mad at JC at the moment, well more upset now, but I can’t help feeling partially responsible. I mean, if I hadn’t of had a cry to Kian about it, none of this would have happened.

“Soph, are you alright?” My attention quickly snapped towards Lillie, who was now shaking my shoulders.

“Oh sorry, I was daydreaming” I laughed.

Kian burst into a fit of laughter. To be honest, I don’t even get how it was that funny. I couldn’t resist joining in, because he has one of those laughs that are extremely contagious. Soon enough, Lillie had joined in, and then Sam. The teacher had to tell us off multiple times, because apparently we were disturbing the class.

The teacher was having a pretty good day up until now. I think the only reason she was having a good day is because Claire isn’t here. I laughed to myself and shook my head.

“What’s so funny?” Kian asked me.

“I don’t know” I said. I could feel the blood rushing to my cheeks.

“Aw, you’re blushing!” Kian laughed.

I slapped my hands over my cheeks and rested my head on the table. I was laughing so much now; I could feel myself start to cry. It was times like these that were the greatest.

“Sophia, I really am sorry…” My head snapped up to JC, who was standing in front of my desk. I could feel a lump form in my throat. I glanced at Kian, but he was off talking to some other boys in the class. I looked up at JC, who was still eyeing my curiously.

*JC’S P.O.V*

I desperately waited for a response. Sophia was practically doing everything and anything to avoid making eye contact with me. I know that if I sort everything out with Sophia, then Kian will get over whatever problems he has.
