Here we go again. Another damage control meeting.

It's the same thing over and over again. Most of the time, the issues is blown out of proportion. But the point is, he was there. He was seen.

Regardless of him being with a girl or not. The issue just repeats itself. Because that's the kind of like he wants.

Sino ba naman ako para pagbawalan ko siya.. She thought.

She walked into their handlers office. It was almost a weekly thing now a days. The rumors just seem to be repeating and piling themselves up.

He was already there, you could hear his problematic voice echoing through the walls of the office.

"So.. just one interview this time? Does it have to be me?" he asked.

"No.. not necessarily.. If you can find someone that can talk on your behalf, yung kasama mo dun.. edi much better-.. Oh, Nadine, halika, sit down.."

"Hey.." he greeted.

"Hey.." she smiled, because she didn't want him to see that she was tired of this. If he did, or if anyone else did, then the issue gets bigger.

"So.. sino ang kukunin nating pwedeng sumagot in behalf of you, James?" their handler asked. "Is Bret up for it? I know we keep asking him to save your butt.. pero.."

"I'm pretty sure he doesn't mind.. I think he's in the building right now.."

Their handler asked his assistant to call Bret. Usually, his friend would come and rescue him. And James is always thankful to have a friend like him.

"Nadine, kung pwede ba daw na magpa-interview ka regarding the situation.. Nasa sayo parin naman.. pero it would help, kasi ikaw nga naman kasi yung ka partner niya.."

At this point, she was used to it all. The issues, the damage control, the faking to be alright until everything is actually alright. It takes longer than you think, you know.

But it's for the sake of those who have been supporting them since the beginning. She keeps telling herself that she's come so far. Both her and James, have done so much together for it to be broken by another life-style driven choice.

"Okay lang po, basta matigil na po yung gulo.." she said.

Their handler failed to notice the slight bitterness of her tone. But James did, he looked at her but she drew her eyes to her knees. Quickly taking her phone out to distract herself and calm herself down.

"Nads.." he called.

"Hmm.."

"You mad at me?" he asked.

"James, are you really going to ask me that every single time na nagdadamage control tayo?"

He leaned back on the chair he was sitting on, a pained expression written on his face. "So you are mad.."

"I'm not. Why would I be?"

"Because-"

Nadine saw Bret approaching from afar and greeted him before James could even try to coax the real reason out of her.

"Hey... Hey, bro.." he greeted them both.

"Bret, okay lang ba sayo? Ikaw ulit ung maiinterview regarding last night's issue.."

"Hay naku, Bret, umo-o ka na.. para matapos na to.." Nadine said, half joking and half tired. Only someone really close to her would notice.

Bret was a good friend. To both James and Nadine. He's always there for James and is always ready to defend him when he knows James did nothing wrong. But he would always do most of the clearing up for Nadine. He felt sorry for her, she was very hardworking and the way he saw it, she didn't deserve such bad things being said about her.
