Sleep was a rare event in a celebrity's life. It barely happened, and when it did, you can never sleep in.

That's why during rest days, Nadine would always wake up panicking that she might've overslept, only to look at her phone and see the date.

She rested her head back onto the pillow and sighed in relief. It was 11 in the afternoon and she just got a great dose of much needed rest.

But she isn't one to waste the whole friday to just being in bed. So she got up and prepared her brunch. She poured dog food and water for Clarky as well.

Soon enough, her phone dinged. It was from Bret.

What time do you want me there?

She replied: Siguro, mga 4... para masimulan natin ng maaga ung baking. Sila Qen and Liza? What time?

Kasama ko na sila. We'll go together.

Sige. See you.

I can't wait. :)

She was smiling at her phone without her knowing. She looked forward to nights like this, with friends. Times when she feels like she's just a normal young adult trying to have fun.

The whole day she spent trying to tidy up her place and also going through her inquiries on instagram. She likes to keep herself busy, but not to the point where she's feeling stressed.

Around 3:30, her phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Nads... we're on our way.." Bret said.

"Great... Did James tell you if he's coming or not?"

"I didn't know he wanted to... I thought he's busy.."

Her forehead wrinkled as she remembered what they talked about the other night in the dog park. She was sure he was going.

"He told me he was coming... I guess it's my fault kasi, I didn't confirm..."

"Oh.. he did? Maybe he's on his way narin.." Bret said,trying to sound hopeful.

Yes, James is his friend. His best friend to be exact. But... when it's Nadine they're talking about, its different. To his knowledge, James couldn't care any less about who she dated. They weren't that kind of friends.

Also, from what he's seeing, James made it clear he isn't going to date Nadine. Its different now. He feels something for her. Whether or not Bret is going to let James know, is not important as far as he can say.

Today was his chance to show her that he feels something. He doesn't want to take it too fast, but if James is going to be there, he wasn't sure on how it's going to go down.

"Siguro nga... Okay, I'll see you guys then.."

"Okay.."

They both said 'bye' and she hung up the phone. She then remembered that she was still in her pambahay. If she was going to entertain guests, she should atleast look a bit more than someone who just rolled out of bed.

So she went and got changed. She chose denim shorts and a white v-neck shirt, so that it didn't look like she's trying too much.

She began to notice her nerves. She was nervous. Why.

Hindi naman first time na magyayaya ka ng friends sa bahay... She nodded, convincing herself that it was nothing. Pero, first time mong inimbitahan si Bret.

She shook her head this time, attempting to erase whatever she was thinking.

Later on, there was a knock on the door. And she could hear Bret calling her name in a million different ways and tones.
