Part 2: Shadow Knights and Friends

Laurance's pov
I layed there. On my stomach, from being tackled down to the ground. I had, no motive to get up.
"Dang, you sure have some anger issues..."
I heard her angelic voice whisper to me. It was Alexis...
I looked up slightly, seeing Aphmau curled up, and nestling her head into his chest. Anger raged through me.
"Hey...chill, she isn't worth it if she's going to do something like that to you.." Alexis whispered in my ear, while getting up.
I turned slowly to my back, looking up at Alexis. She smiled, then handed me her hand, to help me up. I grabbed it. Although, once up, I didn't let go...we were both close to eachother. Looking into eachothers eyes. Until finally, she pulled me away from Garroth and Aphmau. I looked back to see Aphmau look up, she tried to give me a smile as an apology...but nothing came.
Alexis sat down in front of a rock, bringing me with her.
"Now, we need to calm you down..." She smiled at me.
"Y-your not....scared..or.." I started.
"Why would I be scared...your a shadow knight...so what..?" She giggled. "It takes more than that to get rid of me."
"Heh, someone would be an idiot if they wanted to get rid of you.." I flirted.
She blushed, then frowned....
"What's wrong...?" I asked.
"O-oh! Um....I-it's nothing! Don't worry!" She forced a smile.
"Alexis..." I hadn't known her for long, but I knew somethings was up.
"Fine...if you have to know so badly...I ran away from home...and..." She looked down. "....I don't think anyone there wanted me..."
I placed my hand on her cheek, and brought her face to mine. Her blue eyes meeting my...red ones...
"Then they, are very, very, idiotic..you, Alexis, are amazing." I smiled at her.
She blushed. Then hugged me. "Thank you...no one has ever said that...it means a lot...but-"
"No buts...you are.." I hugged her tighter.
"Oh, wow. You move on fast..." Aphmau said from behind us.
I stopped hugging Alexis and turned around. Alexis grabbed my arm, attempting to calm me down.
"No. Unlike you, she is actually being a good friend!" I screamed, my voice vibrating through the forest.
"Oh.." She looked down, feeling a bit bad as to what happened.
I felt a bit ashamed... "Aphmau..I..." I began. "I'm sorry..Laurance..." Aphmau said, stopping me, before I could say anything.
"No..I'm sorry..." I looked down.
Alexis' gripped tightened a bit. I looked over at her, her eyes sparkling of a thousand stars. She gave me a sympathetic look.
Garroth came over, not in his Jury of Nine form anymore. I guess, he was taking time to "cool off", most likely orders of Aphmau.
"I'm sorry too...." He said, eyeing Aphmau.
"Let's not fight...or think to much on it. Let's just forget it in general...and I understand if you two are to date...it's not my territory to say you can't..or to be mad about it.." I said, slowly.
"T-thanks Laurance...I...I really appreciate that.." Aphmau said, forcing a smile.
"Yeah...um...thanks Laurance..." Garroth said, awkwardly.
They both walked off.
Which left Alexis and me...
Since Dante and Kathy were off...doing whatever...they do...yeahhhh.....
"Laurance..?" Alexis asked, breaking the silence between us.
"Huh? Oh..um..yeah..?" I responded.
"Are you...alright..? Your...still in your Shadow Knight form...."
"I....yeah. I'm fine..." I said.
"Hey, you don't have to pretend...you can tell me the truth..." She grabbed hold of my hand.
"Fine...I'm....I feel like such an idiot!" I finally got out.
"I'm not going go try and talk you out of your thoughts, Laurance...but...you're not an idiot." She kissed my cheek. "Your amazing." She said, as she smiled.
I smiled as well. "Even though I just met you...I feel like...I've known you..forever..."
"I feel the same way..!" She giggled.
Before I knew it...I had my hand on her cheek and was leaning in.
"Wow wow, chill Casanova!" She giggled. "Your cute and a cool person, but I need to get to know you a bit more before we go all kissing."
"Fine. I guess flirting will have to do for now." I smirked.
"Haha, good luck with that."
I changed out of my Shadow Knight form, finally.
"Hey, you changed back!" She smiled.
"Y-yeah...heh..." I guess, Alexis helped me change back..?
For the next 30minutes we talked, and laughed. Then, everyone remembered what we came for, and finally came back.
"Hey, you guys are finally back!" I said, smiling. I had kind of forgot about earlier, thanks to Alexis.
"Yep! Kathy and I were...talking. Yeah..talking..." Dante said, a smirk growing on his face.
"Heh..." Kathy blushed.
"Welp, let's just do what we came for..." Aphmau said, walking toward the rocks once again.
"NO!" Alexis screamed, and tackled Aphmau.
"WHAT THE HECK! UGH! I KNEW YOU WERE BAD NEWS!" Aphmau screamed right back.
"I..." Alexis began, as she got off Aphmau.
"Don't." Aphmau said. "Your, bad news!" Aphmau took out role and quickly tied Alexis up, before she could say or do anything.
"I WAS TRYING TO HELP YOU! IF YOU TOUCH THAT FRIGGIN PILLAR YOULL-" Alexis was cut off by Aphmau stuffing something in her mouth.
"Hmph. Finally, silence." Aphmau said calmly and flat-like.
"Uhh...Aphmau...I'm pretty sure-" I began, but was cut off by Aphmau shushing me.
"We need to do what we came for, already...I want to head back to the village..." She said.
Then she went over to the pillar, Alexis getting very angered in the distance.
Then, Alexis changed....into a...Shadow Knight..
How did I not sense her..? She...
She spit what Aphmau had put out of her mouth and broke the rope.
"UGH! YOU DONT LISTEN! IF YOU TOUCH THAT PILLAR YOULL DIE, APHMAU! IM TRYING TO HELP YOU!" Alexis screamed.
"Your....your a....." Aphmau began, a bit frightened. With me...she wasn't that scared because she knew I'd never hurt her, but with Alexis....she'd barley met her, so the fear came naturally.
Alexis quickly changed out of her form.
"I-I'm sorry, to show myself that way...but..listen. I'm not an enemy, Aphmau. I'm trying to help you. Especially, since I have a thing for your guard." Alexis said, looking at me out of the corner of her eye.
"You...I...it's okay...you know what..? Since...since I've...acted this way, you can join Phoenix Drop...as a sorry..." Aphmau said.
"Y-you...thank you..." Alexis stated, and gave her a smile.
"It's...it's no problem...and maybe you can become a guard.."
Okay, a villager is one thing, but a guard?! Whaaaaaat..?
"Um....that'd be great...! Heh..." Alexis replied.
"well let's head back to the village!" Aphmau said, grabbing Garroth's hand.
We all headed back to Phoenix Drop.
