Part 3: Training

Alexis' pov
Aphmau has been strangely nice to me, maybe she's starting to like me..? Ugh, doubt it.
After we went to their village, Aphmau let me stay in the guard tower, with Kathy and the guys. She said there was an extra room there, and that it would be fine. So, I guess it's alright.
Anyway. Once in the room, I layed my backpack down, putting some stuff away. I then, layed in the bed and drifted to sleep.
The next morning, I awoke to a knock at my door. Quickly getting dressed, I walked over to the door.
After answering it, I found out it was Laurance. It's funny, how fast we became friends..with him...I felt....at peace..? I don't know how to describe it.
"Good Morning, Alexis." He said, smiling at me, his light blue eyes gleaming.
"Morning..." I trailed off, still a bit gloomy. Although, I forced a smile for him, I couldn't help it. He made me smile.
"Aphmau, just let me know that I should train you...since she wanted you to be a guard and such..."
I laughed, no stopping it, even though I clenched my teeth. I had already trained...a lot. I could most likely, put a sword to Laurance's neck in a second.
"What..?" He asked, curiously.
"Oh! Sorry...um...I've trained already...heh.." I blurted out.
"Then, that'll make my job easier." He chuckled. "Let's just see what you got then. Come on, I'll show you the training room."
He grabbed my hand and dragged me out of my room. Thank Irene, I got dressed out of my pajamas.
After a while of walking, we arrived in a large room(they built new stuff, so it isn't in mcd, but yeah.). On each wall, was a bunch of shelves filled with archery things, swords, shields, and more combat supplies. In the middle of the room, was a big spot to fight. Fenced off.
I couldn't help mumbling "woah..."
Laurance chuckled. "Well, you can pick a sword so we can test your combat skills." He said, taking out his sword and getting ready.
"I'm good. I have my own sword." I giggled. Getting out my black katana, then I quickly charged it with blue electricity.
Maybe, I shouldn't use electricity....
After that thought, I quickly uncharged my sword.
"Um...then you should get some armor.." He said.
"Heh....again, I'm good." I tried armor before and it'd interfere a lot...so, I don't use it anymore..
"Okay...." He said, worriedly. "Ready, then?"
"Yep."
"By the way, I'm not going easy." He stated.
"No need to."
We went out to the "arena". Swords ready.
The "battle" began. He charged toward me, and I just slid to the side, tripping him with my foot. He quickly shot up. I giggled slightly.
Then, got ready for him to try and pin me to the floor.
As I knew, he charged toward me to pin me. I let him, he looks adorable when he thinks he's going to win.
Him on top of me, we look into eachothers eyes.
"Never get distracted." I say smirking then, slipping him, putting my sword to his neck.
"Wow. You are good." He said, with a slight smirk.
"Thanks. I try. ^=^" I say, as I take my sword away and stand.
I go to turn and help him up, but he trips me!
.3. Like, dude.
"Never get distracted." He says chuckling.
"Hey!" I shout, as I'm on top of him once again.
We stare into eachothers eyes, again. Smiles fading, as he lifts his head up to kiss me.
I should stop it. I need to stop it. But I don't. I let him get close, lips almost together.
When they are about to touch, I roll over.
"Man! So close!" He says.
"Better luck next time, sir!" I say, with a laugh.
He gets up, grabbing my hand to help me up.
"Don't need luck. Trust me." He says, with a wink. "Anyway, you seen perfectly good at combat to me. So I guess we're done here."
"Cool. So....what now?" I ask.
"Hmmm..." He began. "I have no idea. Maybe...we can go on a date..?" He said, hopingly.
"I kind of want to get to know you more." I said, placing my hand on his cheek.
We both blushed.
Laurance's pov
Man, I was so close to getting, either a kiss or date with her. But, oh whale._____.
We both stood there, both blushing awkwardly. She kept her hand on my cheek for a while, before moving it.
"S-sorry..." She said looking down.
I lifted her face with my hand. "Hey, your fine." I said with a smile.
She blushed.
She could have the kindest personality when she wanted to....but sometimes she tries to act so...idk.
"Heh...um...I'm going to head to "my" room. I'll see you later.." She said.
"Okay, I'll see you later then."
She quickly, kissed my cheek, then ran off to her room.
I was blushing like a mad-man, geez...
