After middle school was over, there was summer to come. It was a horrible summer. At the beginning of the summer my brothers and I would go to aunt Susie's and uncle chuckys house while mama worked. We used to stay with them until they went to Texas and then we couldn't stay with them. While they were in Texas me, mama, and the boys had fun until the day that he had killed himself by hanging himself in a tree. I was at my stepmother's house when I found out that he died.
My daddy was in Texas at this time and he found out about it shortly after Mrs Angie did and he called the house just to see how I was doing. "Hey, is maria ok, does she know." He said. "Yea she knows, but I don't think she is taking it to well." Mrs. Angie said. Mama called shortly after wanting to know if she could get me all because of what happened. When I found out about it, it broke my heart to know he was actually gone.
When the funeral came his little girl, Julie Ann, had to know that her daddy was never coming back because she would have been living up to those expectations and would think that he was actually coming back.
