He felt the annoyance levels beginning to die down a little now that Sapphire had accepted him. At least a little. Now he was just enjoying his apple that he'd summoned, half way through a bite when she'd asked the question. The last time he'd been summoned? He closed his eyes and tried to picture his old Master, quickly coming to the conclusion that they must have been nice for no memory seemed to pop into his mind.

"Sorry Master, I can't remember" he frowned and took another bite of the apple, following her through into the kitchen and watching as she began to sort through the plates and glasses. He'd have finished it all for her but was aware of them being watched by a small child who seemed like he was hell bent on trying to break the kitchen bin. The kid was practically jumping over and over on the pedal of the bin which slammed shut over and over again with an annoying clang. Kaine sighed and gazed towards his Master who was now placing glassed into the cupboard, using a stool to reach the top shelves, "Erm, why is he doing that?"

"Drake. Either you stop that or I steal all your candy" Sapphire called over her shoulder, the kid looking at her with an evil glare.

"You wouldn't!"

"Oh do you wish to test me?" she sighed and hopped down from the stool, smirking at the child who must have been about five or six, "I could give your share to Tina"

"Okay okay" he sighed and walked off, Kaine smiling softly.

"Natural talent I see?"

"Come's with this family" she shrugged and picked up another box before turning and smirking at him, Kaine frowning for a moment before shrugging, clicking his fingers and placing everything in the right places, "You could be quite handy" she smiled.

"Explaining finishing everything so quickly though could be difficult Master" he sighed and made his apple whole again, humming as he began to eat again, "This isn't your home though is it?" he asked before frowning at the look of confusion on her face, "Now what....Master?"

"You...that apple..."

"Oh right yeah, I can summon food? Your amazed by that?" he laughed a little. How did he get stuck with someone this clueless? Wars, actual wars that scanned the course of years had been fought over control of his vessel and now here he was with some girl who was amazed at a never ending apple. He wondered if he'd ever had this type of Master before and felt a slight tang of pain at the thought of forgetting this girl. She was rather amusing. Her question again echoed through his mind. When was the last time? He felt as though he'd been in that dark world for a long time, longer than usual at least.
"What year is it?", he asked, following her into the living area and watching as she begun to place books on a self, an older woman sitting on one of the large chairs holding a baby in her lap. Sapphire reached over and flipped on the news channel, Kaine wondering over to sit infront of the box.

"Thank you", the woman sighed, bouncing the baby boy on her knee, the boy squealing in happiness and making his mother smile, "I know today's a rotten day for moving"

"Still think you should have waited a few days" Sapphire sighed, turning to face her sister, "Mum and Dad arnt in the right state of minds for this at the moment"

Kaine blinked and glanced back at the two woman, kind of glad Sapphire had been given his vessel over this other woman who looked as if she was bored with the current question. Both sisters stood half glaring at one another for a few moments, Sapphire looking as if she only wanted to get her point across but eventually turned back to the box of books. Mostly children books Kaine noted.

"First of December 2015" he frowned slightly, "Wow"

"What?" Sapphire asked, shaking her head as her sister gave her a confused look, "Oh sorry Kira, was just thinking out loud" she laughed weakly and shot Kaine a glare as though it was his fault she'd forgotten they weren't alone.
