"What's with the undecorated tree?" David asks. "Who's asking?" an elderly man asks with a shaky voice. "Elfis, pass me my glasses!" he orders in a thundering, but polite voice. "Aaah...I remember that cherubic face....David John McDonald, how u've grown! I remember u wrote for a Tom Baker doll, I believe?" the kind old man with a snow white beard reminds, chuckling to himself at the memory. "It's David Tennant now, Mr. Claus!" David corrects. "FYI, Tom Baker played the Fourth Doctor, Smithy." Doctor (oops! I meant, David!) informs Matt. "I know that!" he snaps at David. "I'm amazed by ur memory, Mr. Claus!" Matt exclaims, turning towards Santa who adjusts his glasses to see Matt clearly. "Please call me Santa. I feel old when u call me Mr. Claus, Matthew! U are the Matthew Robert Smith who wrote for a football, aren't u?" Santa asks, reclining in his comfy armchair. Matt stares agape at him. "I've an amazing memory, Matthew. It's my eyesight that's fading away & giving me the trouble! Hence, the undecorated tree...& even many of the gifts are undelivered! There's no-one else to ride the sleigh & the elves are too busy!" a tearful Santa laments. "Don't worry! We'll do it for ya! The gift delivery, decorations & whatever u need! Allonsy, kiddies & Smithy!" David exclaims, before carrying the box of decorations towards the tree. Santa's thankful & gifts them some quilts that ol' Mrs. Claus embroidered.
