*Tae's POV*
"You just gotta try... To see your smile has value."
-Zao 'Zillionaire'
"Bitch Stephen is single now; time to slide in." Wadeline said nearly screaming in my ear. We were all outside of the dorm hall waving Sereyah and her new husband off. I'm pretty sure everyone from school was here.
"I don't like Stephen." I calmly spoke. "He's not my type."
"Girl, he's everybody's type.." She rolled her eyes at me making me smile. He is fine though, I'm gonna admit that and only that.
"Wait girl, I be right back." She said, then bending down to pick up the ends of her dress and running in the opposite direction of where we were standing. She was always disappearing.
Sereyah and her prince waved one more time, before the car took off. Everyone was walking back into their rooms and I decided to stand and wait for Wadeline.
By the time the crowd disappeared, I was alone in the courtyard. I was surprised that Stephen wasn't here. Surely he's heard about his girlfriend by now. Overall I took it as a win cause at least he wasn't here to make me uncomfortable with his surprisingly attractive stares and expressions.
I turned towards the dorms and started making my way to the door. I wanted to go find Wadeline but it was getting dark and I didn't know if we had curfews and I don't have time to be getting lost.
"Quite a show huh?" A voice behind me states, grabbing my shoulders.
I rolled my eyes, wiggling from under his grasp, because this voice sounded all too familiar. He laughed at the look of disgust on my face.
"I guess so." I whipped my body around to look at him and make sure I was right. It was the one and only Stephen Curry standing in front of me.
"So are you gonna tell me why you were crying?" He asks, folding his arms.
"Nah." I frowned at him.
"Come on! Am I not trustworthy?" He complains making my chuckle a little bit.
"I don't know you. All I know is your first name, if that's even your real name.. You look like the liar type." I smiled a little bit, which was probably my mistake, cause I'm making him think it's okay to still stand here and talk to me.
"Actually my my first name is Wardell, and my middle name is Stephen. I go by Steph. I don't like it when people call me Wardell."
"Wardell huh?" I cheesed.
"Although, when you say it it sounds heavenly of course." He quietly whispers.
"What was that?" I asked placing my hands on my hips. I couldn't fight the small smile that was creeping on to my face. Whenever I smile or laugh in public, I cover my mouth almost immediately. He noticed this and stepped closer to me. He raised his hand and I flinched. He had Stephen germs.
"I like it when you say my name. And don't cover your smile." he softly grabbed my hand, removing it from my face. "It's kind of beautiful.. Even though you're a dork." he smirked snapping me out of my cliche princess moment and bringing me back to reality.
"Bye Stephen" I turned around attempting to open the door.
"Call me Wardell. It sounds better coming off of your tongue than anyone else's." By the way he was looking at me, I could tell he was dead serious.
"Bye..... Wardell.. " I chuckled to myself, quiet enough for only me to hear.
"Hey wait.. I actually have more things to say." he starts, walking and getting in between the door and me.
