You and your best friend Jack were bunking off school - again. You were sort of like the bad girl of the school, and he was like the bad boy. But you two weren't mean or anything! Just naughty, and got into trouble a lot.
You had always had a crush on Jack but never wanted to admit it, since you wanted to play it 'cool' in front of him. You knew that he thought of you as a friend, and nothing more. And anyway, you enjoyed spending time with him and fooling around as best friends do.
Today you decided to skip Maths and History, and Jack offered for you two to go to the park together. Aww, you thought to yourself, the park is so romantic..................................................................... snap out of it!! Another voice inside you said (yeah, you're a little crazy, lol) Jack said he had something to tell you... something important... you wondered what it could be.
When you got to the park, Jack got you both some ice-creams and motioned for you to sit down in a quiet place, on a bench. None of you spoke. This was really weird for you guys, since you were probably the loudest and weirderst in the whole school, so you were both confused about why there was an awkward silence. "Soo..." you both said at the same time, and Jack chuckled nervously.
"Look," he began, "I brought you here to tell you something really important that has been bugging me for a long time."
"Don't worry, Jack, you can seriously tell me anything. I don't mind." You said reassuringly.
"Ok, well... you see, i like this girl," Jack said, nervously.
Your heart broke and your insides squeezed tight with jealousy, and you felt like breaking down and crying, but you had to support Jack. After all, he was your best friend. "Cool...." you said nervously, "Is that all?"
Jack sighed and nervously ran his hand through his hair. "Well, i was wondering if you could help me practice something i want to say to her? I mean, it's honestly fine if you don't want to, and err, um, i.... er, ok just forget i even asked, and-----"
You cut him off by chuckling, and softly saying "Jack, honestly, like i said before you can tell me anything. I'm here for you. What do you need to practice?"
"Okay, tell me if what i wanna say to her is good." He replied, and started to speak. "I need to tell you something (Y/N), i, um... have liked you for a long time now, and i don't know if you feel the same way, but i just wanted to get that off my chest and just so you know, you are really beautiful and please don't be nervous to reject me. But just know, that i will not stop fighting for you. I love you (Y/N)."
You were so confused. This girl's name was (Y/N) as well? Just like you? You plastered a fake smile on your face, and said "Wow, Jack that was great, so she's called (Y/N) too? Just like me?"
He smirked slyly, and suddenly caught you off guard by pressing his lips to yours. You didn't pull away, but instead you deepened the kiss. There were fireworks going through your body, and you could feel the sparks. Finally, both of you pulled away. And then reality struck you hard. "Wait, Jack what the hell?!" You huffed. "I though you loved this other chick, weren't you gonna tell her that you love her?!"
He started chuckling, then laughing harder, and then he ended up rolling on the ground, clutching his stomach, while passers-by gave you strange looks. Finally when he calmed down, he sat next to you and gave you a shy smile. "I was talking about you the whole time. You thought it was some other girl with the same name as you? No, it was actually you. And, judging by the fact that you didn't pull away from the kiss, i'm guessing you feel the same way?" He asked, gaining his cocky attitude.
You smirked, and said "Fiiiiine, but only cos you're a good kisser," you pretended to give in, even though you have literally been dreaming of this moment your whole life.
"(Y/N), will you be my girlfriend?" Jack asked.
"Haha, i would love to, Jack! Now we can be best friends AND a couple. Yay!! ;D" you shouted, and both of you cracked up laughing.
This is the best day ever, you thought, as you walked back to school together.
