Daniels pov
I woke up. A beautiful boy next to me. A sleeping beauty I must say.

His arms were wrapped tightly around my waist. I needed to start getting ready for today but with this little sleepy angel on me, I know that it will be difficult to get out of bed.

I slowly and carefully started to try to get out of his grip.

At last, I thought to myself as I had finally gotten out of his loving arms.

I walked over to my closet, picking out some black skinny jeans and a white shirt with a black leather jacket on. While putting on my outfit of the day I noticed my computer screen turn on notifying me that I had received a message.

I walked over to my computer, now fully dressed, and clicked on the mail icon.

A message from President Vivian.

It read " I will like to inform you all that all districts must come to the observatory due to I will be holding a test on all of the students. Reasons why is because we have found out that there is a certain group that go by divergents. They are a group trying to destroy our safety of our lovely property. These test will indentify if any of our new students specifically are a danger to our community. Students that are found to be divergents will be executed for safety reasons.
- Vivian K
Your beloved leader"

What a flipping lie I thought to myself. I exactly knew what divergents are and it is not what she says they are. I had recently now remembered everything from my past and I remember my mother telling me about divergents. She had told me that if I ever got chosen to go to the bad side that I will be brainwashed, but divergents remember because we have something special about us.

I have now figured out that well me and Joey are indeed divergents.

This is bad. They will find out and they can kill us both.

D: listen up everyone. We will be heading to the observatory as you guys will be taking a test. Don't screw it up

I said as I looked at all of the students, my eyes suddenly meeting with Joeys. I sighed and looked down. The thought of losing Joey makes me want to start sobbing right know.

We started heading to the observatory. The blue stained glass all over the buildings, all so modern.

Once we were inside I noticed all the sections were lined up in an orderly fashion.

D: okay, all of you go line up behind the other groups.

Joey started following along but I pulled him aside as I wanted to tell him about the test can.

J: Daniel what's wrong... You seem a bit off
I cut him off
D: listen Joey this test is to know who are divergents. Joey they will kill you and me if they find out we are one of them
I whisper shouted
J: woah Daniel slow down okay... What the hell are divergents and what do you mean we'll get killed..
D: Joey divergents are people who remember everything from our past. The brainwash didn't affect us, at least not how it did to everyone else. Listen to me! When you take that test just.... Uhhh act how one of the others will act. Pretend you don't remember anything. Act clueless about everything that seems familiar to you.
J: this is a lot to take in but okay..... I'll do it.

I hugged him tightly as this could be the last time I see him. I gave him a quick kiss.

"I love you Joey. Just know that whatever happens up there I won't let them hurt you."

"I love you too, good luck"

"You too"

Joeys POV
It was finally my turn to take the test.

Daniels words kept on repeating In my head.
Act like the others...... Act clueless to anything familiar.

I took a big sigh before sitting on the dental like chair.

The men in fancy blue jackets suddenly started putting some sort of weird apparatus on my head and my temples.

They also injected some sort of serum in me causing me too start dozing off.

All of a sudden the rest felt like a dream.

I woke up in a white room.

I looked around to see a sign near me. It read "light the pink tree on fire"

All of a sudden a white table appeared in front of me with a match. I picked up the match and turned around to see a pink tree, a green tree, and an orange tree.

I remembered that bright colors didn't exist in this part of the Earth.

I did as Daniel told me and acted clueless.

I lighted the orange tree on fire.

I watched as it burned and it started fading until all that was left was a gold powder.

The gold powder started leading to a door. I followed the dust and opened the door to be met with nature.

I looked at everything like if I had never seen these things when truly I have seen this.

A sign was in the middle.

"Stroke the Elk"

I looked around to see different animals, including a wolf that was growling furiously at me. I tried not to panic. I looked around to see a bone on the ground. I gave it too the wolf and it ran away, now enjoying it's treat. I Carried along walking towards a zebra and petting it as I didn't want to make it noticeable that I know what an Elk was. Suddenly everything went white again.

I woke up In the chair. Everyone looking at me. I looked up to see scenes of me doing the previous events. The test was being projected.

I got up from the chair and walked over to where my group was, but I was stopped by one of the guards.

"Come with me" he said in a deep voice.

"No don't take him!!"

I heard Daniel yell.

Everything went black after that. The last thing I felt was a stinging pain in my neck as I blacked out.

Ohhh cliffhanger I see. He he what will happen next. Well you'll just have to find out. Also make sure to go checkout my oneshots book. The first chapter is up.
