Chapter 8

We stared at the man but he was trying to catch his breath.

"Well what is it? SPEAK!!!" Shelly said in a booming voice.

I gave her a look, and she just shrugs it off and stares at him intently. He took one last breath and then looked up at us.

"Sorry for making you wait Alpha and Luna, I just ran from the other side of the pack house. Alpha, your mother wishes to see you and says it's an urgent matter and can not wait."

David's eyes glazed over and his eyebrows slightly pulled together in concentration.

"I told her I'm coming, thank you Henry."

Henry politely nodded and left the room in silence. I looked over at him, officially admitting to myself that I finally found someone crazier then me.

"Please tell me that your just about to call her or something, because you better not be ditching your mother. Honor thy mother and thy father."

I said narrowing my eyes at him. He looked at me like I was the crazy one.

"Why would you think I would ditch my mother?"

I wasn't fully convinced, though I explained myself anyway.

"You told Henry that you told your mom that you were coming........ how the heck could you have done that without a phone if she was at the other end of the pack house?"

Suddenly I see a glint of recognition in his eyes as he opened his mouth to talk. Shelly wasn't about to let him get this one though, I thought with amusement as she went to open her mouth.

"IT'S CALLED A MIND LINK!!!!!!" she rushed out.

David shut his mouth, grumbling something about Shelly being a loud mouth. She just gave him a triumphant smirk and continued with what she was saying.

"We call it a mind link Werewolves do, I mean. We communicate by sending thoughts to each other.

Remember that constipated look you saw on his face, yeah that was him contacting our mom."

David began to glare at her, and I giggled at their sibling rivalry. It felt so familiar, like I've done it before, but while my past is coming back to me, I still can't remember all of it. I was pulled out of my thoughts as I heard David's sharp remark to Shelly.

"Don't you have somewhere to be?" he said with a menacing glare.

She gave him puppy dog eyes and a fake sniffle.

"You don't enjoy my presence?"

He sighed rubbing his temples as she broke out into loud, screaming baby sobs.

I rolled my eyes at their childishness and started to walk out of the room. Shelly's fake crying was giving me a head ache. David walks up behind me, putting his arm over my shoulder.

"Are you ready to meet my mom?"he said.

I tensed up at the thought. What if she didn't like me? What if she thought I wasn't Luna material? What if she doesn't think I'm good enough for her son? What if she gets mad about me taking up time that she could be spending with him? I snap out of it as David waves a hand in my face.

" Hey, stop worrying, my mom will love you. She will be especially glad that I finally found someone to give her grandchildren. " he said with a chuckle and a happy faraway look.

I blushed as I gazed into the soothing green depths of his soul, getting lost in the tide.

"Do you really think she will like me?" I said, as all my insecurities began to rush to the forefront of my mind.

He gave me a kind, loving smile.

"I'm positive."

I looked up at him with a smile, then at where we were. I see a long hallway with a door at the end, and Shelly had wandered off without my noticing.

"Are we almost there?" I asked David.

"Yeah she is actually through that door."

I nodded in acknowledgement.
Walking down the hallway felt like the longest trek of my life.
My feet felt like they were dragging as we made our way to the door.

Never put off till tomorrow, what can be done today, I thought to myself as my already low confidence began to plummet.

I reached out and turned the door handle. I paused. No time like the present. Trying to keep my nerves at bay, I finally pushed the door open and looked up to see one of the scariest things I could ever imagine myself to behold ..........my boyfriends mother and the possibility of her disapproval.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't updated lately. I haven't had the time or the motivation for a while, but I realized it was unfair to all of you who actually care about my book. So I got off my lazy butt and wrote you a chapter. :) . Anywhoooooooo, this is 751 words and it would be more but it is already two in the morning, I have school tomorrow, and I am writing this on my phone so don't kill me because of grammar lol, Or spelling. If it bothers you and you want to tell me about it I won't get offended, but just don't hate on me for it. And sorry theres no video, don't forget, I'm doing this on my phone.
