The Moon Goddess Missionary

Chapter 9

I looked around the room and was astonished to see an extensive collection of books. Light was shining down from enormous windows that over looked a beautiful garden.

I walked quickly over to the window, my previous fears forgotten. This garden was the second most beautiful thing I had seen in my entire life. I was reminded of the first as I felt arms snake around my waist and a head lean on my shoulder.

"So, I take it that this lovely young lady is your mate?"

I tense as the situation comes racing back into my mind faster, even, then super man. I quickly do a round about to see a stunning, but intimidating woman set apart from the mohagony stairs that led up to the top sections of the library.

Her stunning golden locks tell me where on earth they had gotten their angelic colored hair, and her eyes were a stunning green just like the handsome hunk beside me. She was around my height but appeared to be loosing height with age. She had a slender, but hefty figure and when you looked at her, she looked like  the epitome of what a mother should look like. Calm, cool, colle.....

My thoughts were broken off, no strangled off by the woman before me.

"WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!!!!!!!!!! I just can NOT wait for you to be introduced to the pack they will all love you!!!!! And shelly has told me so much about you, I feel like your my daughter all ready!!!"

She sat there with her strangle hold for at LEAST a complete minute after she finished talking. By the time she finally let go I was beginning to see spots in my vision.

As I gasped for air she patted me on the back profusely.

"Im so sorry, I forgot that you need a little bit more home cookin before I can hug you that tight. Don't you worry, we'll have you fed up real nice in no time."

Her thick country accent was extremely charming and I found myself easily forgiving her as my insecurities began to slowly, but surly, fade.

"Mom, if you accidentally strangle her to death, you wont get any grandchildren."

I looked over to see an amused looking David, as he tried to hold back his laughter. I shot him a glare.

"At least she gives me real hugs, you hug me like I have a disease."

I look into his eyes and see that he is exasperated as his mother laughs her head off.

"Your just so thin I dont want to break you," he says in his exasperated state.

I looked at him with a flat stare trying to keep a straight face.

"If your mothers bear hugs didn't kill me, then Im pretty sure nothing ever will."

At this both his mother and I broke into uncontained laughter, the kind that keeps on going for what feels like hours.

When my laughter finally began to fade,I looked up to see David staring down at me warmly.

"Ok, I promise to hug you more firmly if YOU promise to eat a little more even after your full at every meal for the next week."

I stared at him, wondering if he had lost his mind.

"Not only can that make me sick, but isn't it unhealthy to eat even after your full? You wouldn't want me getting fat would you?" I said jokingly.

He gazed intently into the very depths of  my soul.

" I would love you no matter what size you are. You are beautiful to me. Not your size, your clothes, not even your hair could make me loose interest in you. I love you, not your features. I just want you to be healthy again."

At this point my eyes were tearing up, and it was all I could do to keep my soul from leaking out. David is now holding me in his arms as he leans down and kisses my forhead.

I was blushing madly, a happy, bright, brilliant blush that only he could bestow upon my person.

I heard someone crying and startled I looked over to see his mother standing there bawling her eyes out.

"That w-was so SWEET!!!!!" she managed to gasp out.

Laughing lightly I hugged her until she had calmed down a little, and then continued until she pulled back herself.

"Well look at me, fussin over nothing. Im just so glad I finally got to meet you."

As she said this David shattered the moment.

"Why did you send someone after me mom? You could have just mind linked me."

At this she glared at him and said, "Not if you were blocking me."

His eyes got wide, and his face pale.

"I forgot to take down the block!!!! Please dont be mad!!!!"

She gave him a look and said " I'll forgive you........... This time. Now, I have to be off. You kids have fun now ya hear?" and with that, she began to walk away.

"Wait!!! Why did you call me in here?"

She turned one last time, "Because, I knew you would bring your mate." she says with a mischievous grin.

"And now to find your father, hes got a lot of catching up to do, I just realized how long its been since he's been romatic with me."

A slight frown marred her face and her eyes narrowed in a determined look. Then she set off again to find her husband.

I looked up David to see his face even paler theen before. His eyes even wider then saucers and filled with unadulterated terror. Then he said the one thing that would have me roling for days.........

"Dads gonna KILL me."
