I was speed walking down the empty hallways of my school with several books stacked in my arms. Of course, it would be a little easier to get where I was going if I could see beyond the copies of biology textbooks that threatened to crash to the ground.

I huffed frustratedly trying to blow my (h/c) strands out of my face.

"Why couldn't Mr. Shimizu just have someone else take these books to the office!" I complained, my arms growing tired. I heard footsteps coming towards me and I tried to crane my neck around the tower I was carrying to see. Unfortunately, the owner of said footsteps bumped directly into me; both I and my tower of books fell loudly to the ground.

"Ouch! Crap I'm sor-...Asahi!" I looked up from gathering the books sprawled across the floor to see the famed ace of the Karasuno boys volleyball team, who was sitting across from you on the tile floor looking equally as shocked.

"(F/n)! I'm really sorry!" Asahi  said in a panicked voice. He quickly grabbed a different book off the ground (presumably his...that for some reason looked like it was hiding another book inside). "Um...apparently reading while walking isn't the greatest idea.." He laughed nervously while leaning to help me with my books. I raised an eyebrow at him and chuckled.

"It's fine. Trying to get in some last minute studying or..." I glanced at the book hidden within the larger one labeled The Age of American Literature. "...or are you reading something not too appropriate for school there?"

Asahi did a double take at the 'concealed' book and his face turned a brilliant pink and quickly shut it.

"I-Its really not what you think!" He explained frantically. I laughed as I gathered up the rest of the books and grunted as I lifted them all back up into their original tower.

"I'm only joking! I know you definitely aren't the type for those kinds of books." Asahi stood up as well, holding a few other stray textbooks. He looked a little flustered. Cute, I thought to myself. I had always liked Asahi more than a friend and I love his unexpectedly shy personality.

"A-anyways..." He began"...do you need some help taking these to the office? I've got some time." I smiled brightly and blew some hair out of my face.

"Thought you'd never ask!"

Time Skip

The school day has come to a close and I took a deep breath as I slung my messenger bag over my shoulder and made for the exit. I opened the doors and stepped outside, smelling the fragrance of springtime in the air. Then an idea struck me.

"That's it! I'll go visit Asahi and the others!" I said to myself. I casually made my way to the volleyball court and stopped outside the closed door. Was there...an argument going on inside?  Curious as I am (and a bit of an eavesdropper) stood my toes and gazed through the window.

"I'm tellin ya, Asahi, the book is about as much use to you as a plastic fork is to a serial killer!" Tanaka exclaimed, holding a small pink, book in his hand.

(Tsukkishima: *chuckles* Where did that analogy come from?
Tanaka: Shut it, Dino-boy)

Noya was desperately trying not to laugh at Asahi, who looked like he was about to run away crying. Tanaka chuckled as he flipped thought the book. "Steps to Getting a Girlfriend: Part One...casual talk...no abrupt confrontation...flirting off limits for first week...-" Tanaka couldn't take anymore as he read the rest. Both he and Noya began falling over themselves with laughter. Asahi sank to the bleachers and tucked his knees into his chest, his face quiet red. I felt my eyebrows knit with anger. Those jerks! You can't blame him for wanting a good way to ask out a girl! Whoever she is she'd be lucky to have someone as gentle as him!
