-Chapter 1-

Brianne

It was like being under a spell.

You aren't focused. Your mind is somewhere else. You feel as if you are being under control.

That's how I felt, staring at him.

It was hard to focus on my work since I kept staring at the way his plump lips moved. I don't even know what was coming out his mouth. All is knew was that his lips looked so kissable.

My mind wasn't set on collecting information about the topic for today's lesson. In fact, It was more concentrated on the way his jaw clenched or the way his large hand ran through his hair time to time.

I was under control by his light hazel eyes. The specks of blue and green they carried made me melt. I can look into his eyes every second of the day if it was possible to and never get tired. They held a bit of mystery to them. A mystery I would love to find out about.

I mentally slap myself across my face.

Get yourself together, Brianne!

I sigh, slumping in the uncomfortable metal chair.

Maybe he was the reason why I was failing history. Why would the school hire someone so young and handsome to teach? Did they really want teenage girls like me to get low grades in class?!

I groan, tapping my pencil against the scratched up desk.

"Is there a problem Ms.Williamson?" A deep voice questions making me freeze. Slowly picking my head up, I come in contact with the hazel eyes I admire.

"N-no sir, I mean M-Mr.Mahone." I stutter out causing some students to laugh.

Jesus, please help me.

Ignoring the obnoxious students, Mr.Mahone nods his head. "Very well then. Continue to copy the notes for Mondays test." My eyes widen.

"Mondays test? We have a test Monday? Since when?" By now, the whole class was laughing at me. I slump into my seat more, my cheeks red from embarrassment.

"Will discuss this after class, Brianne. Seems like you don't listen very well." Mr.Mahone snaps before turning around to face the board.

Well maybe I don't pay attention in class because of your handsome like ways.

I felt like going in front of the class and smacking him for being so beautiful.

Damn his parents for creating him.

As time goes by, it was finally the end of class.

"Brianne, please stay." Mr.Mahone says as I pack up my bag. I nod my head and stay seated.

Once the very last student steps out the class, Mr.Mahone closes the door. His feet leads him to the chair in front of my desk to take a seat.

"What's going on with you?" He questions stern yet concerned.

"Have you checked your grades online for this class yet, Brianne?" I shake my head, looking down at my hands that rested on my lap.

"Look at me when I'm speaking." He snaps, my eyes shooting up quickly.

"S-sorry." I apologized. His face softens.

"Brianne, your grade right now is a fifty five." My eyes widen in horror.

"What?!" I shout, quickly covering my mouth from how loud I was.

"Sorry." I apologize once again.

"Stop doing that." He says, pouting.

"Doing what?" I question, clueless to what my actions were.

"Saying sorry for no reason."

"I'm sorry-" my eyes widen. "Sor- oh my god!" A smile lands on his face making my heart race.

His smile was like heaven. So bright and white.

I made him smile. Oh my god, we are practically married!

"Let's get serious now, Brianne." I nod my head, almost saying sorry but holding it in.

"It's February first. The quarter ends march tenth. You have time to bump your grade up."

"How can I, Mr.Mahone?" I question, anxious to know.

"Well for starters, you can pay attention in my class." I laugh, agreeing with him on that one.

"Secondly, completing all class notes." I bite my lip, knowing I didn't have many of those in my binder.

"Lastly, attend tutoring after school." Now this caught my attention.

"After school? Mr.Mahone, there's no tutoring after-"

"I know this, Brianne." He pauses before speaking. "I spoke with the principle. She told me it would actually be a great idea."

"So basically it's just going to be you and I here in this room alone, studying?"

"Monday through Friday." I nod, gathering up all this information.

"What will the lessons be based on?" I ask. I really didn't care about the lessons. I just wanted to hear him talk and stay a little longer.

"Well, during tutoring sessions, I'll give you different topics. You choose what topic you're having trouble with then we will work on them together. You will have homework on them too."

"But, Mr.Mahone-" "Don't." He cuts me. I stay quiet.

"You did this to yourself, Brianne. And don't worry. The homework you do in tutoring will also be towards your report card."

"So like, extra credit." He nods his head. I'm actually liking the sound of this extra credit.

"But if you slack, you can kiss the extra credit goodbye." I pout, crossing my arms. Mr.Mahone grins at my actions making me smile.

"We start Next Monday, alright?" He states, standing up from the chair. I stand up as well, throwing my bag over my shoulder.

"Okay, Mr.Mahone."

"Oh and Brianne." Mr.Mahone says, stopping me from leaving. "Please don't forget to study for the test on Monday."

"You got it, Mr.Mahone." I say before exiting out the class room.

I was so going to forget.
