-Chapter 3-
Brianne
"You got this, Brianne. I know you can do this. I believe in you." Ethan says, grasping my shoulders as we stand in front of my history class.
I roll my eyes, swatting his hands away.
"Jesus Ethan, you sound like I'm giving birth. It's just a test."
That I knew I was going to fail.
Ten minutes of studying was surely not enough for me.
Ethan chuckles, bringing me in for a hug.
"You know I just do it to bother you."
"Yea and if you keep bothering me, your ass gets kicked." I joke, wrapping my arms around his torso.
"I'll stop."
"Thought so, wimp."
"Ms.Williamson." A deep voice behind Ethan and I, calls out. Turning my head to the side, My eyes rest on the beautiful hazel ones.
Mr.Mahone.
I thank god Ethan was still holding me. With the way Mr.Mahone was dressed, it made my knees go weak.
Black dress pants covered his long, skinny like legs as a black dress shirt clung around his toned arms. A red tie was tied around his neck.
He looked like a god.
A god I really wanted to kiss.
Oh boy, I'm going to hell.
"The bell rang. I suggest you come in and set up for the test." He bluntly states.
"Ethan-"
"Yes, Mr.Mahone?" He questions, tightening his grip around me.
"Get to class. Now." Ethan nods his head, awkwardly un wrapping himself from me to head to his class.
I pout and turn around to face Mr.Mahone.
"Did you study like I told you to?" I bite my lip, looking down at the tiled floor.
"I'm going to take that as a no." He sighs, grabbing the bridge of his nose.
"I did, Mr.Mahone! J-just not as much as I needed t-to." I stuttered, clearly nervous.
"What do you mean?"
"Ten minutes. Last period." Is all I say, hoping he catches on.
Mr.Mahone's jaw clenches as he shoves his hands into his dress pants.
"Brianne, I asked you to do one thing. One thing and you can't even do that!" He snaps.
"But-"
"I thought the conversation we had on Friday would knock some sense into you!"
"And it did! It's just-"
"Just get to your seat!" He yells, students looking out into the hallway in curiosity, some even laughing.
Tears well up in my eyes but I close them, taking a deep breath. He can't embarrass me like that. He doesn't even have the right to get that way with me!
Pushing my way passed him, I go to the back of the class and sit in my seat.
Now thinking about it, I wasn't looking forward to after school. If he was going to continue the nasty attitude he had just seconds ago, I would rather fail than be with him for an extra hour.
"Sorry about that, students." Mr.Mahone apologizes, walking in while fixing his tie.
"Let me hand out your test papers."
