Chapter Seventeen

I woke up locked in Jonathan's room. I felt almost drunk, my body sluggish and my mind fuzzy. I struggled to hold myself up and when I looked to a chair in the corner I saw the vampire King yelling into his phone and drinking a glass of blood. I was shocked to find that I was no longer seeing him as a monster but a man, yet when I looked at him now, I could see the error in this thought. Before me was the man that I had had nightmares of for years, this was the man that changed Lysander into a stranger, and he had managed to seduce me and cause me to forget the horrors that he caused. I fought the urge to run away, knowing that there was nowhere to go, but this lust, this hope was impossible for me and no matter how I tried I couldn't do much to escape. So I acted like a child, I rested my head upon the pillow and pretended to fall asleep.

Jonathan sat there in raged, his voice rising every other word, I believe that this is when he noticed me on the bed, and slowly snuck out of the room. I waited for the sound to dissipate then checked the door, noticing that it was miraculously unlocked. I don't know if this was from distraction or if he believed that I wouldn't do anything but it was open, and I knew that though escape was impossible there may be one thing I could do.

After throwing on a robe I ran out the door, trying to find my way through the labyrinth of the castle. I didn't remember a lot about the halls but through try and fail I found a door that looked extremely familiar. I had no idea what to do or say, but I opened the door and ran into a very confused Lysander.

He must have just gotten out of the shower, because he stood in front of me in nothing but a towel.

"What are you doing here human?" he asked with a raise of the eyebrow. He tugged a shirt over his hair, and I wondered if this was such a good idea.

"Lysander I can't be near your father. Every time I look at him I think of him killing my parents. I can't be civil, let alone share a room with him."

"Why are you telling me this? Tell him and he'll just kill you and put you out of your misery."

"I would like to stay with you."

"Fuck that, you're a prisoner." He was moving away from me now and I decided I had to sweeten the deal.

"Think about it, wouldn't it piss him off." This got his attention, he stopped walking and turned towards me slowly, a mischievous smile on his face.

"You're getting warmer."

"We'll you suggest something, is there anything I can say that will make you say yes."

He approached. "I want to have you."

"what?"

"I want to know why he keeps you around, I want to know what makes you so worth it." He was pressing me against the wall now, putting his leg inbetween mine. "Then I might think about it."

"No."

"Fine then, I'll call the guards-."

"Okay okay, but I don't want you to think about it, I want a yes."

"Then I will drink from you and only you."

This worried me. "Wouldn't that kill me?"

"I wouldn't take that much. I want to piss him off for a long time."

"Okay then we have a deal."

"A deal with a vampire must be sealed with blood."

I watched him scribble down out deal and it's requirements, then prick his finger with a needle. He then passed the paper and needle to me, watching carefully as I did the same.

"We have a deal I can not break." He said then looked at me hungrily. "let's get your things."

"How are we going to tell your father?"

He smiled down at me happily, "Don't worry, I've got that covered."
