Nothing

Your heart beats like a drum.

Your body's going numb.

A shake of the head, you don't want to feel this.

Mascara tracks roll down your cheeks, but you don't care -- your thoughts and voice is bare.

He keeps walking; you're not talking, you can't speak--you're emotionally broke.

It was a lie, a joke.

All you can hear is the thrumming of your heart, as it tears apart.

You collapse, but it's nothing. Absolutely nothing.
