A few weeks has passed since the last chapter, and they have forgotten about what happened after dinner that one night.
Nobody's point of view:
Scott checked into the hotel while Kirstie went to the restroom. He grabbed their room keys and waited for her.
"Hey, I got our room keys, want to go upstairs?""Yeah, sure! Let's check it out."
They set their bags down to realize that there was only one bed.
"Oh, I could have sworn I ordered a room with two beds. Should I ask for a different room?" Kirstie asked.
"Nah, it's fine. I'll just sleep on the couch." Scott replied.
"Are you sure?" Kirstie asked.
"Yeah. Anyways, why don't we go down to the pool?" Scott suggested.
"Ooh, yeah. I could use some relaxing."
"Let me get changed, you can go on ahead of you want."
"Okay, I have my bikini on under this, so I can just go down there. I'll save a spot for you."
"Okay, see you there!"
Scott's point of view:
I put my swim bottoms on and put on my sunscreen. I grabbed my room key and headed out of the door.I opened the gate of the pool to see only a few people there. But what really caught my attention was a curvaceous woman sunbathing on a poolside chair.
She sat up and removed her sunglasses.
And it was Kirstie... Oh my god, I almost got an erection from one of my best friends. She smiled and waved when she saw me. I walked over and sat next to her."Hey, you look nice." I remarked.
"Thanks, you're looking fit as well." She replied.
Kirstie's point of view:
Oh my god he has a six pack. Okay, calm down. Let's just calm down. Oh, how can I when he is that handsome?"Want to swim a bit? It would be nice to cool down."
"Sure."
We stood up and started walking towards the pool.
"Damn, girl! You got a fat ass!" Someone called out. That same person slapped my butt as I was walking.
"What the hell, man? Do you have a problem?" Scott threatened.
"Yo girl is fine as hell!" The man added.
Looking disgusted, I crossed my arms. Scott slid his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him.
"Don't talk about her like that. And by the way, she's taken." Scott defended.
"Hey, sorry man. I'll leave y'all alone." He backed off.
We continued to walk to the pool.
"Hey, sorry about pretending to be your boyfriend." Scott said.
"No, it's totally fine. You did the right thing. That guy was a pervert." I replied.
We slipped into the pool and floated around while we talked.
"You know, this hotel is pretty nice, except for that guy. He sucked."
"I know. I can't believe he would treat you like that, Kirstie."
"It's fine now. He knows not to mess with me anymore."
"But he grabbed you. That's not okay."
"I know. But I don't want to make a fuss out of something that we should just forget."
We stood in silence for a few minutes before we took a walk on the beach.
"The ocean is so beautiful." I remarked.
"Not as beautiful as you." Scott replied.
"Aww, you're so sweet." I blushed.
I can't hide from my feelings for him. But I can't stop thinking about what just happened between me and Jeremy. I have to move on. It's been almost two months since we broke up. It won't be the end of the world if I get with someone.
"Scott?"
"Yeah?"
"What is that?"
