*Kimberly's Pov*
Taylor had just shown me my bunk when the door to the bus opened.
"I hope you had fun, and remember you have an appearance on Good Morning America tomorrow, and...."
The voice cut off as soon as she saw me.
It took me a minute to recognize the speaker as Andrea Swift.
She was sunburnt, and had dark sunglasses on.
"Uhm Taylor... Who's this?"
Taylor shrugged and said "A friend of mine, she's going to stay with us for a while."
By the look Mama Swift had on her face, I knew she wanted to talk to Taylor when I was out of earshot.
I fake yawned, and said "Thanks for the tour, and your hospitality Taylor, if it's okay with you, I'm going to go watch a movie in my bunk."
Taylor nodded and pulled ne into a hug. "Good night! And jf you need anything just give me a call."
I smiled at my unexpected friend, and directed my gaze to Andrea.
"It's nice to meet you Mrs. Swift, and thanks for everything!"
Her eyes softened a bit, and she smiled at me.
"It's nice to meet you too..."
"Kimberly."
I stated as I shook her outstretched hand.
She smiled at me abd said "It's really nice to meet you Kimberly."
I waved and ducked into my bunk and pulled out The Hunger Games DVD that Taylor lent me earlier to watch sometime.
I put in the DVD, and it wasn't long until the tears came.
I cried until I fell into a restless sleep.
*Taylor's POV*
Mom looked at me questiongly, and I groaned.
"I couldn't just leave her all alone! She just graduated High School and her parents died. She's all alone!"
Mom bit her lip almost reluctantly and said "Well if she's 18, I don't know if it would be a good idea..."
I grinned and said, "But she's not 18! She's 15! She skipped a few grades!"
My Mom's eyes widened, and she said "Well if she's under 18, there's a lot of official stuff you have to go through..."
I nodded and said "Her pricipal jelped me take care of that, and we were granted permission to take her on tour, but that's only for 2 months. If we want to make it more permanent, we could sign adoption papers. Otherwise she has to go into foster care."
Mom frowned and said "We can't let that happen."
I nodded in agreement, and she gave me her I'll think about it face.
Finally I burst out "Mom please!"
She nodded and said "I'll talk to your father about it."
I grinned, and she soon shooed me off to bed as she got into her business mode and got on the phone with Dad, and numerous others.
I couldn't let anything happen to Kimberly!
I got into my bunk, and soon fell asleep.
It wasn't long until I jolted awake from a blood curdling scream.
I jumped up, and found that the boise was coming from Kimberly's bunk.
I pushed the curtain open to find her thrashing in her sleep.
She must be having a nightmare.
My guess was confirmed to seconds my guess was confirmed when she screamed
"Mom! Dad!!! No!!!"
My heart dropped. I should've known this would happen.
I tried to shake ber awake to no avail. I tried screaming her name, but she just continued to thrash.
Then I grabbed ny guitar and just began to sing the first song that came to my mind.
"Some nights I stay up cashing in my bad luck, some nights I call it a draw."
The music seemed to have an immediate effect on her, and she relaxed in her sleep, and looked almost peaceful.
I sighed as I put my guitar back in it's rightful place.
I hope that Kimberly can find a way to rise from this dark. And
i hope I can help her with that somehow.
