Prologue

JULIA POV:

I've never loved anyone. It's as simple as that, I guess. Of course I love my family and all that, but I'm talking about a different type of love. I'm talking about a romantic kind of love.

I would describe it for you, but as I said before, I've never been in love, and I don't want to give you false information, so I'll just leave it at that.

Romantic love.

I'm the kind of girl who dreams about meeting that special someone, reading about it in books, and coming up with some fairy tale in my head. But the thing is, I'm sixteen and have never had a real boyfriend. Sure, I've gone on a couple of dates, but boys tend to find me...odd. I admit, I am a little strange, but aren't we all? I'm also a total bookworm and a chocoholic. Yep, I love chocolate.

Anyways, I might as well start telling you some stuff about me before this whole story starts. I'm sixteen, go to Hogwarts, I'm muggle-born, and I'm a Gryffindor. How do I look, you ask? Well, I'm definitely nothing special, to tell you the truth. I'm average height, with long, brown hair and brown eyes. I know, boring right?

Remember how I said that I'd never been in love? Well, the story I'm about to tell is going to prove that statement wrong. It all started in my sixth year at Hogwarts. Voldemort was on the rise and the wizarding world was plunged into chaos...
