"Guys I prepared lunch..." The landlord walked through the open door holding a tray. He raised his massive eyebrows at the sight in front of him but didn't say a word about it.
"I didn't know you delivered lunch," Hanji pointed out.
"Well, it's only because you guys are nice tenants and Levi is sick... Paying for meals three times a day was also part of the rent too," Erwin said.
"Ah, right. Thanks," Hanji nodded "but next time I can bring the food up. You're making me feel bad."
"Feel bad? I have never heard you say such a thing, Hanji. Perhaps Levi was right after all?"
"Don't push it, Erwin. I don't know what you're talking about but don't push it."
Erwin raised his hand in defeat but still had a hint of a smile on his face. "Alright, alright, I'm leaving. Take care of your roommate."
"Like I needed to be told that," Hanji muttered.
||"Yeah, Erwin she's the best, you can trust her to take care of me!" Levi called out to Erwin, who's laughter can be heard even in the hallway outside.
"Levi, you don't need to say that." Hanji tried to be harsh, but at the sight of Levi sticking out his tongue, she couldn't.
Levi took out his hand from his pocket and it eventually made its way to Hanji's.
"But I need to, you're the best friend I could ever hope to have."

Hanji stared at the hand who was holding hers. If you weren't dense enough, you could hear the sound of her feelings shattering internally.  However, Hanji remained indifferent externally. She was blinking rapidly but there was no other side effects. Besides emotional withdrawal and internal turmoil, of course.
"Hanji, why are you tearing up?" He asks innocently. That little shit.
"Dust in my eyes, that's all." Hanji quickly stood up and left the room, sniffing a little. Her eyes had a tinge of red at the corners. What was a thinking? What did you expect from a shithead like him?!
||"Hanji, you're not okay, I can tell." Levi pointed out, "What's wrong Hanji, you know I'm here for you."
But by then, a crystal-like tear rolled out, which was followed by an endless stream like the rushing river outside.
Levi limped over,"It's alright I'm here, Hanji. It's okay."
"Y-yeah, it's okay." Hanji tried to calm herself down. But the next thing she knew, she threw her arms over Levi,"No, Levi it's not."
He used to be the reason why she made wishes upon shooting stars. Dandelions. All she ever hoped for. He used to be everything.
And now, he's the reason for the tears littered over the ground. Not knowing he's the reason. For everything.
