Reuniting

Veronica was enchanting and I admired by a far. She was sitting while talking to Hotch about her training and how she will be an agent at all times. I remember saving young her, how scared she was and how thankful she was towards me. Now she's even more beautiful and her smile was permanently on her face. The way she smiled since she arrived, I found quite astounding and made her just stunning. I wondered if she got married or maybe had a boyfriend. I didn't notice a wedding ring or even a promise ring. Most committed couples get promise rings for each other is what I recalled.

" How's the case? " A voice said, making me jump that I knocked over all my college books to my feet. I heard the laughter of Morgan and the burning of everyone's eyes staring at me. I swallowed hard while lowering myself for my college books. I heard Veronica giggle and watched her quickly peck her head away from me. My heart fluttered at that cute little giggle. First time, I heard it and it was like MoseArt playing in my head all over again.

" What you staring at? " I heard Morgan ask. I quickly snapped back and gripped my last book by my feet.

" Nothing. " I responded.

" I've seen you drooling over little Mrs. Angel over there. " Morgan shared, making me burn red on my cheeks.

" You think she's pretty. " Morgan said.

" I never said that. " I said, pointing my finger at him.

" Don't have too, kid. " Morgan said, chuckling when he saw my cheeks. I felt J.J set her hand on Morgan and I's shoulders.

" Boys, children, we're starting. " She said. Morgan softly pinched my arm and walked away.

" What do we have so far? " I heard Houtch say.

" He's kidnapping people one or two towns over so he must be local. " Emily shared.

" It appears with the beatings and rapes for the long period of time, he shows anger and hatred to the person he's trying to replace. " I said.

" The slash to the throat is clean and non hesitate so it clears to me that he has no remorse to what he is doing. " Veronica shared.

" Alright, Morgan and Emily go to crime scenes and try to find more information, J.J and I will head to the victims families houses. Reid and Jackson meet up with Ellefson at the station. Before we start, everyone check into the hotel. Landing in ten. " Hotch said, standing up along with everyone else.

Veronica's POV:

We arrived at the Kahler Hotel in Rochester, MN. It felt weird being back in Minnesota. I left all the hurt behind to focus on my future which worked because I am who I am today. It made me think about my mom and how she's doing since I left after college which broke her heart. I don't even know if she even wants to see me anymore. Hotch was checking all of us in at the front desk as the rest of us sat patiently while talking briefly to each other, I however sat quietly.

" So Veronica, when did you leave here? " I heard J.J ask me.

" I left after I finished college actually. I wanted to work with you guys so badly, I moved to Virginia. " I responded.

" Well that's a big change from here. How could you just leave everything? " She asked me. My smile began to fade.

*Flashback *

" Mother, it's time to take your medication. " I said, getting them together by her bedside. She's been in bed all day, sleeping. She moved her messy bedhead hair up to look at me. She pointed her finger behind me.

" Bring me that please, baby. " Her sleepy voice said. I turned around to find a bottle of UV she was pointing at.

" No, Mother. Dr. Caroline said no more drinking, I brought you water, please take your meds. " Nine year old me said to her, beggingly. Her eyes grew with anger at me.
