It had been almost two days since Nikolay had a lead on Alex. He was going crazy, Andrei was mad, even his fellow brothers were distraught the longer she was away. Nik stared at the papers in front of him, but the words kept melting together, giving him a pounding headache.

The Night Wolves had to work from Andrei's house, their clubhouse still a pile of ash and dust. Nik ordered everyone to leave it alone, wanting Alex with them to rebuild it so she could decorate it how she wanted. He didn't miss the looks the men gave each other, though.

They started to believe she wasn't coming back.

They all noticed how Andrei started to act after the first day she was taken. His heart was broken and they knew it meant one thing. The bond he felt with his daughter was severed, and that could only happen if one of them was dead. Nik refused to believe it still. Andrei stopped looking and soon his men would stop. They hadn't had any leads and the rogue Hells Angels had been killed. Their heads cut off and put on Andrei's front porch.

"Nikolay! Andrei!" Nik rushed outside, Andrei on his heels when they saw Michael walk towards the house. But the person in his arms had them both falling to the ground. Alexandria's dead eyes stared at them as the angel walked towards them. Dried blood covered her body, a hole in her chest and obviously broken bones were easy to spot, even from ten feet away. Her face was white, whiter than normal and her vibrant blue eyes were cold, and her hair seemed to fade and wasn't as bright as usual.

She was dead.

Michael gently laid her down in front of the men who slowly reached out to touch her.

Nikolay was the first to crumble and sob as he cradled her head to his chest. Her body was ice cold, letting him know just how long she's been dead. Andrei stared at his daughter, his heart crumbling until nothing was left but a black hole.

He got up and immediately got in the angel's face, yelling and demanding why he didn't protect his daughter.

"This is all your fault! This is fucking God's fault! Why didn't you fucking do something!?" Michael let Satan take his anger out on him, knowing he could've protected the young Romanov, but he got to her too late.

Flashback

Michael had just flashed in the room in time to see his brother slide his sword into Alexandria's heart, killing her instantly.

"No!" The angel yelled and moved to her, but Gabriel pushed him back.

"This is what is supposed to happen, brother! She had to die for her actions!" Michael just stared at the body, his eyes full of sadness as the once vibrant blue eyes slowly faded to a lifeless gray color. She was gone. He had gotten to her too late.

He failed her, failed his Sire.

He walked to her and placed a hand on her forehead to see if there was any chance she could be saved. There wasn't. There wasn't a small spark of life. She really was gone.

Gabriel placed his hand on his brother's shoulder, but Michael moved away. He picked up Alexandria and flashed to her father's house before Gabriel could stop him.

End of Flashback

Michael watched as Andrei and Nik tried everything to bring back the young Romanov. Spells, potions, magic, and even prayer. Mostly from Nikolay. Nothing worked. Once a supernatural was killed, they stayed dead. Even the daughter of Satan.

"There has to be something we can do!" Nik slammed his hands on the table before getting out of his chair, it falling to the ground with a loud thump.
