A/N: Hey everyone, thanks so much for taking the time to read my story. When I started writing this I had a very set story in mind that to me went alongside "cannon" of the TV show. After the death of Allison writing this story has become quite difficult for me and I've also stopped watching after the first 3 seasons, I'm just not a fan of where the show is going. Due to these facts this story is on an indefinite hold and for that I apologize. I hope you can forgive me and continue to enjoy what has already been written. I have been writing little for it and I will be publishing tidbits here and there but it's nothing really.

Sorry,

-CC

"I took the stars from my eyes, and then I made a map

And knew that somehow I could find my way back

Then I heard your heart beating, you were in the darkness too

So I stayed in the darkness with you"- Florence + the Machine.

It was just another normal meeting in the woods. Derek, Isaac and Scott were supposed to get together to figure out what their next move would be towards the alpha pack, what seemed to be an unbeatable force that had already killed another young beta of Derek's pack, Erica. It was the last quarter of the lunar cycle, the full moon had been the week before. The holes where the trees in the forest didn't quite cover let in rays of moonlight not that any of the werewolves needed it to be able to see in the dark. Isaac's eyes glowed golden from their usual blue as he stood underneath the treeline before the clearing that lead to a cliff over looking the city of Beacon Hills. He didn't have to strain to hear Scott's footsteps quickly approaching from behind him to the right. Just before Isaac was in Scott's view he turned to face him. Concern displayed across Isaac's face. He was confused why the other beta had shown up alone.

"Where's Derek?" Isaac asked wondering why the alpha had failed to show for what seemed to be an important meeting.

"He needed to take care of something for Cora, so it's just you and me." Scott answered.

Scott wasn't discouraged by this when Derek told him and neither was Isaac now even though Isaac still remembered Scott distinctly saying that he wasn't "real help". Cora and Boyd were still out of commission and Peter was never any help, not that either boy was willing to trust Derek's uncle. Scott remembered how Derek believed that Cora had been killed, how Peter had been killing people and now all the human virgin sacrifices were being made to an unknown deity.

Still neither boy had said a word, they both weren't sure where to start. Isaac's problem was that he felt if he tried to contribute an idea he would only be shut down, locked away and then brought back when Scott remembered he existed again. Almost like the hours he spent locked in the freezer in his basement. Isaac shivered at the thought. Scott pretended not to notice he was lost in his own thoughts. He wondered if he should tell Mr. Argent about the alpha pack or about how he didn't know who was making the sacrifices. Allison wouldn't be happy with him if he tried to contact her more than just at school. He promised her he'd give her space.

"I've got nothing how about you?" Isaac finally broke the silence deciding to be honest.

Scott broke from his own mind coming back to Isaac and reality. "Yeah, me either. Derek and Peter know so much more than us. We shouldn't be out here alone anyway let's go back."

Isaac knew exactly what he meant. Being out alone when the alpha pack was still loose hunting them he knew it could only mean trouble.Personally Isaac had run into multiple alphas but he didn't remember most of it, his memories had been suppressed and the only way to extract them was to have Peter sink his claws into his neck and that hadn't been pleasant the first time and when that didn't really work he had to take an ice bath both ideas had almost killed him. He shivered again thinking about the cold he was surrounded in.
