Percy's POV

Waking up with a pounding head wasn't the best day for me.

No wait, screw that. Waking up with a pounding head and the realisation that the world had changed utterly was the worst day of my life ever. Disoriented, I flailed about before realising that I wasn't a fish, but unfortunately, I had already rolled off the bed. I landed with an extraordinarily loud thump that echoed creepily.

"Did what just happen?" I asked, rubbing my eyes. My vision was blurry and my spinning head threatened to throw me into oblivion. I was greeted with silence, which I welcomed as the world suddenly righted itself and I found out that I was on the floor. Great.

I stood up from my undignified position and looked around the place. I was in a small room of which the walls were painted blue. A startling, electric blue that seemed to want to burn my eyes out. Insulting. Blue was my favourite colour, but the painters warped it so much that I was almost starting to hate blue. Ouch. To my right, there was a wardrobe (at least, I thought it was a wardrobe) and a bathroom and a floor-to-ceiling mirror plus the bed I had recently fallen out off, but there was no door. No windows either.

"Oh gods," I muttered. "I've been kidnapped by some crazy weirdo. What a great day." I felt in my pocket for my part-time pen, part-time sword, only to find that I had no pockets. And my pen wasn't anywhere. Darn it.

Wandering over, I opened the wardrobe door and peeked inside. There was a set of tight-fitting black clothes that looked awful. Attached to the shirt was a nametag that had been stitched on. Obviously, my big name was there. If I wore that uniform (I preferred to think of it as uniform), I would probably look like a freak or a thief who has his name displayed to everyone, I couldn't tell. Shutting the door, I turned to the mirror. My jaw hung open at my ridiculous appearance. I was wearing an absolutely repulsive white nightgown that swept the floor. Only then did my sense of touch reawaken. The floor was cold, and I was barefooted. Gah.

I heard a shuffling sound behind me. Turning around, I appraised the newcomer - a short girl with her jet black hair tied up in a bun. She wore a red uniform that was striking. She handed me a note which read, "Breakfast in 10 minutes. You might like to change. ~G"

"What? Breakfast? Ohhh." My brain finally caught up. "Wait a second, where am I? Who are you? Who's 'G'?"

The girl smiled but did not answer. She turned to walk away out of the door. Wait, it wasn't even a door. It was as if someone had punched a nice rectangular hole in the wall. I gripped the girl's shoulder. "Where am I? Where's Annabeth?"

The girl shook her head and smiled sadly. I got the feeling that she couldn't talk, but why?

After the girl had left the room, I took a nice bath in the nice bathroom which was filled with so many luxuries that all the money invested in these foams and scented water and stuff could have been used to buy three mansions. Amazing.

After that, I got out and changed into that ridiculous uniform, but at least they were better than the white nightgown I was wearing. But still, I looked fantastically horrible. When I stood in front of where the "door" had been, pondering on how to get the heck out of there, the hole appeared and I walked out. Outside, I realised that a whole chunk of the wall had moved out and could move back, as it did so now.

I looked down the corridor. There was a big silver plague that pointed the way to the mess hall. To the left, there was a wall. Just a blank wall and nothing else. I followed the directions to the hall. All along the corridor, all I saw was two blank walls, painted a soft cream white that had no signs of hosting secret cave entrances.
