2. Just Barely Surviving The First Day

"Westside High School." I said to myself.

  And with that I walked through the front doors. Jeez there are so many people. A lot more than my old school. After I walked in, I immediately spotted a boy. He had dark brown hair and brown eyes. He was tall, considering I'm only 5'3". He had on khakis and a muscle tank. God he's really hot. I soon found myself standing there from a distance standing at him. He eventually caught me staring at him, and smirked at me. Never mind, just your average fuckboii.

  I quickly walked away, trying to get rid of the tension.

I walked as far away as I could. I am right by the gym, I think. I see a girl sitting in the hall reading a book. I have to get to the office, which I have no idea where that is, so maybe I should ask her fro direction's? Yeah I will. You have to talk to someone sooner or later.

"Hi, I'm new here, and I was wondering if you could show me where the office is?" I said politely to the girl.

"Of course!" The girl said with a warm smile.

"My name is Lilly by the way. I moved here from Cali."

"That's such a pretty name! My name is Brytney, and I've lived here all my life."

She got up from where she was sitting on the steps and put her book in her backpack.

"What book is that?" I asked her.

She looked down at her bag and pulled the book back out and studied the cover.

"Looking for Alaska." Brytney said.

"Omg I love that book so so much. It's great."

We made it to the office really quick. We were talking about the book I love so much and my life back in Cali. I walked into the office and saw the bitchy receptionist.

"Hi I'm new, I came to grab my schedule." I said to the receptionist.

"Ok. Name?" She said with attitude in her voice.

"Lilly Maverick. I'm a junior." I said with just as much attitude.

She typed in a couple things and then the printer started to print my schedule.

"Don't get snippy. Here you go though. Your first class will be down the hall and to the right."

"Thank you." I said.

I walked out of the door and followed her directions. I eventually got to the room I had to be in. Room 201. I slowly opened the door. Oh shit everyone's eyes were on me. And as I scanned the classroom, my eyes landed on a the boy who I was staring at earlier this morning. God he's so hot. Stop Lilly the last relationship you were in didn't go to well.

"You're late." The teacher said.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't figure out where the office was so it took me a while." I said.

"Ok, so you're the new student. What's your name?" She said.

"I'm Lilly Maverick and I moved here from Cali." I said facing the whole class.

"Ok take a seat next to Jack Gilinsky in the last row." The teacher said.

I looked to where she was pointing and immediately started freaking out.

'He was the one who caught me staring at him, what am I gonna do.' I said in my head.

I walked to the seat and sat down.  He started looking at me then looking at his friends and laughing.
