Okay here is the first chapter, since I don't feel like writing about the're adventures in the lab, I am just going to skip to the day they are supposed to go out.

(Louis POV)
It had been quite the couple of weeks. We had learned a lot from the scientists, and honestly they were a lot nicer then I thought they would be. I heard from the mythical stories, that the scientist that creates a creature usually mistreats it, but I guess that the myth wasn't true. Maybe it was, but I wouldn't know and I also wouldn't like to know, to be quite honest.
Me and Harry had been kicking it off quite nicely as well. We both decided that I would let him move in with my family, which honestly was a huge step that I was willing to take. Besides Harry needed it, he was having a lot of trouble at home, or so I had been told. He hadn't exactly told me what yet, so I decided to let it be, and not ask him several times.
It was really odd that we were getting along so well because I am half dog, and he is half cat, but I guess it doesn't really count when you think about it. There's still a difference between being a hybrid and being an actual animal.
The main scientist was letting us out today, and to be honest I was pretty excited about that because I got to hang out with Harry again without those scientists asking us questions every single minute of the day.
The weird thing is that Harry and me seem to have this sort of bond that I can't explain, like we barely even know each other, but I feel like we have known each other for years.
I don't exactly know how to explain it but I'm sure everyone has felt like this at least once in their life.
"Alright guys, are you ready?" Me and Harry hesitantly nodded. I was in the outfit I was wearing when they kidnapped me: a striped shirt with red suspenders with some light tan coloured trousers. Harry wore, what I guess he wore before, a jumper and some sweats. We both had beanies on to cover our ears and our tails were hidden inside our pants, since we obviously couldn't show them to anyone.
It felt awfully weird to have a tail stuck on my lower back, but I guess I am going to have to deal with it if I ever want to be accepted as normal. I sighed.
Harry gave me a worried glance, and I gave him one back that said: "I am alright." He just nodded in response and I smiled softly, letting him know that I really was okay.
We both headed out of the door, our smiles beaming on our faces. Now that I was finally out of the lab, I could make contact with my family. Harry said he really wouldn't need to make contact with his, and I nodded agreeing to what he said because I didn't want him to get upset.
"How are you going to contact your m—mum?" Harry asked me, looking at me with his eyebrows furrowed.
"Well, I was thinking maybe if I could find a phone somewhere around here, I mean, there has to be one somewhere. Or I could, like, borrow one from someone. I'm sure that there is at least one person that wouldn't mind me using their phone." I told him.
"Who do you plan on calling?" He asked, his voice uprising in curiosity.
"I am going to call my mother, Harry." I said. He gulped at the word mother. I did not know exactly how to react because I didn't know his story, and I wasn't planning on asking since maybe he felt uncomfortable with talking about it.
"Don't worry Harry, my mother probably is nothing near what your mother was like." I said assuring him, but to be honest, I didn't exactly know if my mum was like Harry's mum at all.
"Okay." He said, his worried face eventually calming down.
After traveling down a long sidewalk, we finally reached a nice little town. The sight and city reminded me of my small town Doncaster, exactly where I lived! I smiled.
I looked around and when I saw the public telephone cell, I immediately ran towards it.
I put my hand in my pockets, searching for money. When I found some, I smiled and put two shiny quarters in the machine. When I noticed that the machine was ready for calling, I simply dialled my mums number which I knew by heart.
"Hello." My mum answered on the other end, her voice seemed to contain sadness. The guilt I felt was eating me alive.
"Hey mum, I have a lot to explain." I managed to get that out very quickly, sighing nervously after I told her.
"Oh my god! LOUIS! I was so worried about you! Where are you? Actually where have you been. Oh never mind baby, I am so glad to know that you're safe!" She rambled on and on, though I hadn't expected anything else from her. Harry started to chuckle, and I glared at him, sticking my tongue out. He did the same, causing a smirk to creep up on my lips.
"I am at the Doncaster Town Center." I told her, my eyes scanning the surroundings.
"Okay, I'm on my way. Stay where you are!" She yelled into the phone. I was suprised her phone still wasn't broken.
"My mum is so overprotective, and I am eighteen years old." I complained to Harry, only causing him to laugh.
