❝'Cause I've done some things that I can't speak. And I've tried to wash you away but you just won't leave
So won't you take a breath and dive in deep. 'Cause I came here so you'd come for me. I'm begging you to keep on haunting.❞ // Halsey - HauntingI ran down the hall endlessly, searching for a clue or a escape exit. But only several of locked doors.
Panicking, I kept running down the hall, preying open any unlocked door till, gratefully, I found a unlocked one and ran in, hiding.
Pitch darkness surrounded and burred my vision for only a moment, as low lightening recame. My eyes were still messed up; dizziness and tight breathing refilled my body, the medicine that was given to me hours ago came back for round two.
Not only then a soft, weak voice lingered in my hearing. I turned to see a boy; who looked much older than me and had fear in his eyes. It seemed it looked like he was in the same condition as me.
"Hey.., do you know where you are?" I asked in a hushed tone, not wanting Diana or anyone pop up.
"Kinda. It's a school for kids." He answer softly, looking at me. I stepped away from the closed door and moved closer to the boy, seeing he's strapped down.
A fresh mark near his inner forearm was bruised slightly, like if someone shoved up a needle in his largest vein.
"W-why are you strapped down?" I whimpered, my eyes filled with wanderness and fear.
"I tried to run."
"Me too.." I whispered, as we shared a look. A familiar look that caused a eclectic spark between us and in my mind, making me remember something about this strange boy.
"D-DJ?" I blinked, my hand to temple, as a massive headache came.
The boy-DJ, groaned, as if his head hurts too.
"Storm?" He whined out my name, as I go to his side.
"I remember you. We tried to run before, yet we failed." I explained quickly, recent memories came back, flashing and burrled in my head.
The saltwater in my lung. We escaped, yet got caught in a storm. "A-a storm." I nodded, as my eyes traveled down at his bandage straps.
A small keyhole was near his wrists straps and I moved my head back up, meeting his dark gaze. "I need a key."
"May has one." My eyebrows furred together in confusion, as DJ shook his head. "My nurse. Go stand behind the door and wait for her to come in, I'll give you the signal to grab the key."
I nodded and rushed back to the door, croughing down, while my ear pressed up against the cold wall to hear any footsteps.
Luckily, there was heavy footsteps coming our way and the door swung opened, causing for me to stand still against the heavy metal door.
"DJ, you're up, good." His nurse spoke, cruelness in her "kind" voice.
I managed to slowly peek my head out, staying quiet as I can and meet eyes with DJ's. "I-is it time for school?" The boy asked, avoiding my gaze. "Yes, let's get you out of theses straps." May took out a small key from her pocket, unlocking him, as DJ mouthed: "Now."
Somehow, I got out the heavily door that was crushing my chest and sprinted over to May, shoving her against the wall.
A small tap fell on the floor, telling me the key fell and May laying on the floor; her forehead bleeding and unconscious. I stared at her, unable to understand if I just killed someone.
"Storm!" DJ snapped me back and I looked at him, helping him out of the straps.
"You okay?" He asked, standing, yet now looking down at me. I nod, looking at him, then my flickered back at May.
"I-is she dead?" I whimpered out my question, my eyes feeling pricked hot tears.
"It doesn't matter, Storm." He went over to her, checking her different pockets.
He pulled out a collations of keys and a needle syringe, along with a small bottle of pills.
I snatched the pills from DJ and looked at it. Nothing was labeled. "How do they know what what's?"
"Probably have a container label. Let's go." I nod, slipping the pill bottle back to May's pocket and followed after DJ.

We crept along in our terrified silence, the cold feel of the tiles under my fingers made it even more scary.
The zap that filled the air when the lights flicked on gave me little reassurance. We both stopped and I feel his fingertips graze my hip.
"Stay close." He whispered and I nodded with agreement. He sensed my fear.
"Hey, we're gonna get out of here." The first tear fell then. "You sure?" I whispered, more tears falling down my cheeks. He nods, wiping my cheeks.
We continued walking till a door came in view and above it said: "Exit." DJ and I shared a look and he stepped forward before I tugged back his hand.
"Wait, what if it's the same trick we fell for last time?" He stood quiet, a thinking look on his face, as he glanced over at me.
"Let's just see." I bit my lip, looking back at the creepy hallway and stepped forward to the door, opening it as we suddenly faced the worst.
