"Wow," Kamri thought as she walked down the pavilion to the famous Bondi beach. I am a 19 year old girl who grew up in Canada, in an area far from any oceans. However, I was not new to surfing, I learned how to surf in an indoor wave pool. But the indoors aren't anything close to the real thing, the waves were never more then 3-4ft high. I crave more. I want the sun beaming down on my skin, the warm, soft sand in between my toes, and the trill that Mother nature brings (sharks and all). I had came to Bondi for a vacation. I was currently here alone, but in a month some of my closest friends are going to come and join me here for a bit.

Today, it was just me, the thousands of people here and the beach. I had brought along my favourite orange beach towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, and my favourite book. I was wearing an aqua blue bikini set that looked amazing with my golden blonde hair.

Once I found a place to sit down, that had a perfect view of the ocean, I decided to go for a little cool down swim in the ocean. I passed a blue sand buggy that had 2 lifeguards in it, And took a glance at their faces. They both looked directly at me! I smiled to them and gave a little wave, which one of them replied to with a wink. I continued walking, and headed into the water, trying to not let them see me turn beer red from embarrassment. I'm not used to cute boys taking notice of me like that, but I don't mind one bit!

I dunked my head under the water, man it felt so cool and refreshing on my warm skin. I decided that I was going to but myself a surf board while here, I've been wanting one for a while, and what better souvenir the a surfboard from Australia! I decided to wade out a little further and go for a light swim, I'm a fairly confident a strong swimmer, so I'm not worried about not being able to touch the bottom.

After 5-6 minutes I was starting to get hungry and decided to head out and grab some food to eat. When I started getting close to the sandbank, I went to stand up, but it was as if the ocean floor was getting washed away! "Dang it!" she thought," I'm in a flash rip. At least I know how to get out without having to be rescued." I swam across the rip, towards where the waves were breaking and as I did that, I noticed that the lifeguards I waved to in the buggy, where now paddling out on their rescue boards to help some of the people who were in trouble.
Once I reached the beach, I walked over to my towel, checked that nothing was stolen, and sat down. I feel so lucky that I am able to be here in Australia, a dream I've had for years. I dried off, threw on some clothes and headed up the beach to my apartment to grab some cash for lunch.

Please let me know if you are liking where this is going so far, and any suggestions are always welcome!!
~Quick question, would you like Kamri to become a lifeguard, be rescued, or both?!~
