GEORGE'S POV

My life has been going well.

I have many friends and my family are amazing.

I can't wait to see what the future brings.

Well I say this now but I never knew what was going to happen round the corner.

After tomorrow.

When my life changed forever.

And not for the good.

I went to school as normal.

Nothing was unusual at all just a normal Friday.

It was the last day of term before summer and I couldn't wait for 6 weeks of sun and no school.

Most of all I couldn't wait for the food!

School past with flying colours.

Probably because it was only half a day.

Ellie my friend left today and we were all going to miss her.

She was like the mum of the group.

I was walking home all alone because normally I would walk with Ellie.

When I got home my mum was waiting for me.

I was in trouble, it was obvious, she only did that when I was in trouble.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

Mum burst into tears and they pored down her cheeks life waterfalls!

I had to stay strong for her and for me.

Not only was I moving away from all my friend and family but my sister was dead and my dad was going to prison.

I knew I had to stay strong and comfort mum but the anger inside me was just too strong.

I stormed out the house slamming the door hard behind me.

I didn't know where I was going or what I was doing.

All I knew was I had to get away from here.

From this horrible place.

Of crime and hurt.

I couldn't stay here.

I ran to the nearest bridge and jumped.

I didn't die but surges of pain flew through my body.

I was hurt.

But then.

DARKNESS.
