Chapter 1: Leaving

Allison's P.O.V.

I wake up super extra early today to get my outfit ready and because I know Vanessa will take a long time to use the bathroom because of her hair and all that. I really want to get to the airport early.

Oh, I forgot to tell you! Today is the day. The day that Vanessa and I get on that plane to London. I am so excited that I could barely sleep last night.

The reason why Vanessa and I want to leave is because the place that I live in honestly sucks. It's super hot here, especially during summer, and everything is just all messed up.

"Allison, stop making so much noise..." says Vanessa while still sleeping. Since I'm that best friend, I get her phone and place it next to her ear, since I know that she doesn't lower the volume when she goes to sleep. I start calling her.

Her phone starts ringing and she falls out of the bed. After you see and hear her fall, she says "Oww...". After that, I start laughing and she says it wasn't funny, but it was and she knows it.

After we stop laughing, I take the bathroom first because we played Rock-Paper-Scissors and I won. After I finish taking a bath, I brush my teeth and go to my room. While Vanessa is taking forever in the bathroom, I start getting dressed.

I didn't really have enough clothes to choose exacly what I wanted because most of it was already packed. So, I put on the first thing I spot: a black & white polka-dotted dress with my favorite black boots. My mom told me to wear pants, but I wanted to leave this island and arrive to London looking fabulous.

After I do my hair and put a little bit if make-up on, I hear Vanessa open the bathroom door.

"FINALLY!!" I scream.

"Shut up Allison." she replies and I do what she says, as always.

After Vanessa is done getting dressed, my mom picks up Vanessa's parents and then takes us to the airport.

When we arrive to the airport, we all say our goodbyes and promise we will come back someday.

When our parents leave, we do everything we needed to do before going to the plane. While we wait for the plane, we go to Starbucks and also buy some breakfast.

After we finish eating, we go inside the plane and sit down. I was a little down because I didn't get the window seat, but I wasn't in the mood of arguing with Vanessa.

I can't help, but to look around the plane from my seat while Vanessa is acting like a little kid. She does this sometimes, but I'm pretty used to it.

When I look back, I see a guy. He's looking at someone else behind him, so I can't really see his face, but I start to feel weird. He turns around and I finally recognize who he is.

My heart stops for a moment and I start to get all nervous. I turn around shocked and feeling very nervous.

"Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit..." I keep whispering.

"What's wrong?" asks Vanessa.

"Look back..." I tell her and she does what she's told.

When she looks back, she spins forward and tells me "What the hell are Luke, Dylan, and Jack doing here?!"

I open my eyes really big because I had only seen Jack and Dylan. Not Luke. I wish it could be anyone but Luke.

Let me clear things up. Luke was my first and only boyfriend. He "kind of" cheated on me with this other girl from my school, Chloe. I found out and I just dumped him. I still have little tiny feelings for him... but I don't know why! He broke my heart & he was honestly the only guy I trusted.

Dylan is Vanessa's ex. He just got tired of her and dumped her. I wish Luke would've done that instead of cheating on me. It still would've hurt, but I think it would've hurt less than being cheated on, right?

And finally, Jack. Jack has done nothing wrong unlike Luke and Dylan. But, he was my best guy friend a long time ago. After he moved, we kind of stopped being that close... I always thought of texting him, but I never dared to. I finally texted him when I found out about the Luke dilemma and talked to him for a few hours just pouring my heart out. I didn't know how he could've listened to me just talk and talk and talk about Luke and I until he texted me the next day saying that he would never do something like that if he was with me. He really did cheer me up. But, then he sent me another text saying that he liked me ever since we became best friends. I was pretty shocked, but managed to tell him I didn't feel the same way. I feel bad about it now and kind of guilty for letting him down and putting him in a depressed state.

"Allison..?" I hear a familiar voice say, interrupting my train of thought.

I look to his direction and see that it was Luke. "Stay cool and be cool" I thought in my mind.

"Hey, Luke! How has it been?" I ask.

"It's been great, actually... How have you been?" he says.

"Oh, yeah... It's been awesome!" I reply.

After that, it just gets pretty awkward between us.

"So, what are you guys doing here?" asks Vanessa. Thank God she did...

"Oh, we're just travelling together. We always dreamed of doing that together and here we are!" says Dylan.

"And why London...?" She say, not trying to be mean, but accidentally being mean. I look at her with big eyes and she just looks down

"Um... well, I just thought it was a good place to go to since you've always wanted to go there. You kind of made me like the place by talking about it so much." Luke tells me while Dylan laughs and Jack just stays silent. Ugh... he's always trying to get me back or humiliate me. Jerk.

"Oh, well, that's just wonderful." I say sarcastically. Luke doesn't note the sarcasm and says "Yeah..."

He sits next to me since we were sitting in a row of five and Vanessa sat at the window.

This is going to be a long ride.

I am also sorry if I make mistakes while I'm writing the story ... #whoops
