After Basketball

Chris and I sit in the middle of the court talking randomly.

"So?Have you ever had a boyfriend"

"Fortunately,no"

"Why not?"

"Didn't have time for that shit"

"Good to know",he answers me nodding his head.

He stares at the ground.Then looks up at me.The whole time I'm just there like 'I can't believe this is happening!!!!!' but playing it cool cause that's just how I role.

Chris pov

I stare at the ground in confusion to her never having a boyfriend before.She is so beautiful.I could stare at her all day if I'd have the chance.I want her to be mine.All I ever wanted is a girl like her.Hopefully if I take it slow she would like me back and consider the thought of me being her first boyfriend.I'd be the happiest boy in the world.

Sarah pov

He is a nice guy you know?I think he'll be in my life for a while.

We both get up off the ground and dust ourselves off.

"Sarah I hope we could go on a real date sometime soon"

I smile while both my dimples dent in and answer,

"We sure will Chris.Soon."

"Well,let me walk you home"

"Okay thanks,umm it's like 4 blocks away from here"

"No problem"

We start walking as I grab my things.I hear a message come in on my phone and I grab it immediately.
It's from Jordin.She wants to know how it went.I don't answer.

"We going?"

"Yes yes"

We walk off the court and start a new conversation.

"Anything new Chris?"

"Nothing much just you"

"Haven't you met any other new girls?"

"Nope,they never caught my attention"

"So what you tryna say?"

"I know your different Sarah.I would never take advantage of a girl like you.No matter what.Because I'm not like other boys"

"I'm confused"

He stops me and says

"This is what I'm telling you:If we ever become something in life as it goes,I will not take advantage of you,because your a girl.All I want is a bestfriend,a sister,and someone to hold"

"I get you.And your not common yourself nigguh",I say as I punch him softly in the arm giggling.

"Hahahaha Sarah"

We reach my house.I say bye...then he gives me an unexpected hug as I stare at the ground almost about to walk away.I take my arms out of his tight hold and hug him back.
