Chapter 2

"You need to know....I've got somebody..."

I didn't even fully make it into my house before Odell texted me. I grabbed my vibrating phone after placing my stuff on the coffee table.

Odell-
You were right, this mocha cracker whatever is bomb as hell.

I chucked to myself at his text. This boy here...

Genesis-
It's called a mocha cookie crumble boy lol. Don't do my drink like that

Odell-
It's still good as hell lol.

We texted all day after I got home. We got to know each other. I learned he was from Louisiana and went to LSU, being drafted at the end of his senior year. He learned I'm from Miami, never been outside of the 305 since I was born.

Odell-
Wait, so you never been outside of Florida ever?!

Genesis-
Nope lol. Too scared of planes. I'll only leave if it's by vehicle.

Odell-
You know you're more than likely to die in a car crash than a plane crash right?

Genesis-
I don't care, if we aren't on the ground I'm not going

Odell-
Scary ass, lol

I was just about to reply when Cameron walked through the door. "Hey baby, how was your day?" He asked me, kissing my forehead. "It was fine, Candace and I went out for coffee."
