We did exactly as Jaden had planned; just the two of us and the rest of the city of Atlanta.
First, he took me out to this amazing rooftop lunch which was absolutely perfect. Later we walked on the streets and checked out some local shops where he bought me this beautiful dress. I chose to wear my regular clothes but he insisted I wore it and I was in no position to disagree. Then we spent the rest of the day at the local park walking around, playing on the playground like the child I am, and lying on the grass gazing up at the clouds once again.
"Jas," said Jaden looking down at me from where I lied across the grass. "..today was probably one of the best days of my life."
"Yeah." I agreed as I traced the outline of his knuckle with my fingers. "Do you think we'll still be together when we're older?"
"Of course. Why do you ask?" He asked back.
I shrugged before answering, "Just asking. Sometimes I like to imagine just the two of us, married with a couple kids. Then I imagine we'll be together until we can't even remember our own names."
"We'll be together. Always together. Like birds of a feather, forever, and ever, and ever. We'll be together.." he sang, making me giggle.
"Jasmine.. would it be inappropriate to ask if we could make out in this park?" He asked. I glanced over to him while a smirk grew across my lips.
"I don't see why not." I replied, sitting up while he was still laying on the grass before leaning down and pressing my lips to his. He slightly sat up and pulled me closer, putting more effort into the kiss.
Our lips quickly began to move in sync and soon he had pulled me onto his lap, neither of our lips detaching. He then took the opportunity of brushing his tongue against my bottom lip, asking for entrance. I declined.
"What are you doing?" I whispered after I slightly pulled away.
"Jas, I'm ready. I've been ready. I want you." He answered before he began planting small kisses across my collarbone.
"What if someone sees?"
"It's pretty dark, already. And the closest people that could see us are just homeless folks."
His lips left my collarbone and trailed upwards to my neck and my jawline. I just decided to shrug it off and follow along.
When he asked for entrance another time, I still declined his offer but somehow he managed to force his way in.
The thing was, I wasn't ready for sex. There had been times where things would get steamy, but I thought he accepted the fact that I wanted to wait. Don't get me wrong, it would be nice to experiment and understand what exactly does it mean to be sexually active but I still believed in the saying 'abstinence makes the heart grow fonder'. I mean, have you met my family?
Like I said earlier, I was really into Jaden and I was ready to do anything so I could keep him. But if that meant by having sex at 14, no way José.
Every time I tried to pull away, he just continued to hold me tighter. I never realized how strong he really was.
"Jaden- stop." I said. Instead, he laid me down on the grass and held my hands above my head. "Please, stop."
Suddenly I heard the sound of my phone go off inside my backpack. My savior.
"I need my phone." I told him.
"Just let it go to voicemail." He murmured, his lips traveling along my jawline and one of his hands slowly lifting up the hem of my dress..
Infuriated, I shot my knee up hitting him in the crotch, causing him to groan in pain and pushed him off me.
I unexpectedly felt his hand grab ahold of my forearm, holding me back.
"Come back here." He said as he continued to pull me down. With as much strength as possible, I elbowed him in the face and pushed him away from me once again.
After making sure he was down for the count, I soon got up and grabbed my bag before quickly running away.
As I presumed myself safe, for now, I pulled my phone out to see my dad had called twice and I called him back.
"What the hell, Jasmine! I got a call from the school today and they asked me why you were absent. And I had to tell them that I didn't know why either. So, why don't YOU tell me? Why weren't you at school today?" he first asked with anger dripping from every word.
"I-I don't know, dad. I don't know. I was just being stupid and I wasn't thinking at all. I'm coming home right now." I told him. I didn't notice until now Jaden had left a red mark along my forearm when he was trying to pull me back down.
"I just sent your brother to go get you. Where are you?"
"I just left the park in the city." I answered. I turned around to see the sun was slowly going down the sky and hide behind the mountain as the stars and the moon were ready to come out.
With nothing left to say from either of us, I pressed the end call button and put my phone back in my bag. Before I had time to realize it, I began crying.
This day was supposed to be perfect. Today we were supposed to celebrate being together for a full year and now I don't know where we stand. I don't really plan on talking to Jaden any time soon after what happened. But for now I thought it was best to declare us.. over.

After Marcus had picked me up and drove me back to the house, I was about ready to get rid of this dress, toss on some sweats, and call it a day.
As soon as I entered through the front door, I found dad sitting in the living room waiting for me. With a small sigh, I trudged into the room and took a spot on the opposite side of the room.
"Why weren't you at school today?" He first asked once again.
"I wasn't up for school. So, I left." I answered.
"Where'd you get the dress?"
"I bought while I was in town. Dad, can you just spare me the lecture and give me my punishment and send me upstairs?" I asked him.
He let out a sigh before saying, "Well, you're grounded for 2 months; no phone, no TV, and no books either. And I want you to write a speech about why it's not okay to ditch school."
"Fair enough." I said. "I shall go start on that now."
I then got up and was about to leave- "Jas.." my dad said, stopping me for a moment. "I got called in, this morning. They're transferring us to Holmes Chapel, Cheshire."
I looked at him with furrowed eyebrows, not exactly knowing where that was and hoping he wasn't going to say what I thought he was going to say.
"Okay.. what does that mean?"
"It means we're gonna be moving to England in a couple of days." He told me.
"Super." was all I said, then slowly walked upstairs.
