One week after the Brothers poster had released, Sid had given up to call Pari again. Whenever he did she was in a hurry, at loud places, sleeping, eating, or all of these things at the same time. He knew he was exaggereting, but he was miffed and he felt it was right for him to be so. She had said she would call back but never did.

In a weak moment he had even asked Alia if she knew of something. Her reaction was slightly unorthodox as she had started screaming „How should I know?" to which Sid could only nod and wonder.

When the last shafts of sunlight vanished behind the sea, Sid was on the way of yet another meeting he didn't want to go to. He quietly laughed at himself. „Didn't want to go to". He reminded himself to stop behaving like a drama queen and to put on a smile.

While he was humming a very well known song which was suddenly stuck in his ear, he scrolled down the timeline of his Twitter. Manish Malhotra had retweeted everything ever written about his show at the Lakme Fashion week and Sid sighed. Right when he decided to check his mentions only the little blue box appeared 'Check 1 new tweet'. More out of a habit Sid clicked it. Home!! Time to get into my comfy pyjamas, sip green tea and watch a movie :) Bliss!! #EarlyToBed he read it twice. Maybe she was doing the right thing he thought. She didn't give a damn about any events anymore. She was at home and enjoying her evening the way she wanted to. Maybe he was wrong when he thought she had some issues, was sad or not in her usual happy mood. Maybe he had reflected his own mood into... Oh God damn it, he would try to call her again. Now. There was plenty of time before he'ld reached his destination and she had no excuses. She just tweeted she had time to talk. Kind of.

He let the phone ring 8 times before he canceled the call. How on earth did she do this? Not a minute ago she clearly had her phone on hands. Now she was nowhere near to it. How? Or should he ask Why? - Having this thought his phone rang and he almost let it drop.

It was her. Finally.

„Hi, sorry, haven't been fast enough." she chirped into his ear.

He smiled. She gave him an old draft for an old joke. Just like in old times. „No problem, we all know about your auntie speed in running."

His grin got even broader when he heard her usual „Hmm!", the sound of her fake laughter. „I'll slap you later for that, but now, what's up?" Sid knew she wasn't really angry. First of all because she was still sounding like a little bird in a basain and secondly, why would she suddenly start getting angry about something she never really cared for?

„Nothing much" he replied „...still wanted to know, where you are an what you are up to lately."

He heard her putting a cup down on a table. „Well..." with a loud 'Cling' a spoon landed in the cup. „...I'm going to watch „Bad teacher" now and end my day."

Although he hated that movie, he wanted to do exactly this. Sitting at home, watching movies and have no care for any events or meetings. „Lucky you" he whispered more to himself, so she wouldn't hear it.

„Ya, lucky me..." she snapped in a harsh tone and he hit his hand on his fore head. He knew it. How could he forget her senses were highly sensible. She saw, smelled, tasted and (for his own bad luck) heard everything.

But then her harshness grabbed his attention. Would she tell him now, what had made her so sad, when she had called him last week?

„You're in the car, right?" she asked him before he could say anything. Lost chance, he thought. „Ya!" he sighed. Somehow he had to take the conversation back to her.

But again she didn't let him „Where are you going?"

„Meeting some people. Have you been alright?"

„How's Alia?"she asked in the same second

„Could you answer...Why should I know how she is?" he asked carefully with a tad suspicion in his voice.

Pari laughed. And Sid heard it was the other fake one. „Oh, just because you see her daily."

„I'm not seeing her." Why he got defensive he didn't know, but he felt he had to.

Now she laughed genuinly „Well, I can see, that you see her. I mean everyone sees you're seeing her. Or do you run around with eyes closed?" she giggled.

„You're kidding with me, right?" he had to ask. He really didn't know.

„Sure," she said. „or maybe not. Depends on what I mean."

„And what do you mean? Listen, I'm n..."

He heard her door bell over the phone and a swear word almost slipped his tongue.

„Listen, dinner's here," she informed him, „and Alia already told me. You guys are cute together."

„What?" he was perplex „What did Alia..."

„Hey, I'll call you later, okay?"

„Noooo, what?" he almost screamed in his mobile, so that his driver turned around slightly shell shocked.

„There you go, thanks, bye." she said and Sid was right about to scream again when he realized she was talking to the person on her door.

Now she spoke to him again. „Listen Sid, I'm hungry. Alia told me you guys are seeing eachother and now I mean it the way you mean it. Now let me eat and you have fun at your meeting. Okay, bye!"

If anything ever bothered him about her, it was the way she ended phone calls or chattings. She never waited, she just hang up whenever she felt like it. „Okay, bye!" and she was out. Only on her terms, like everything she did in life.

His thoughts went back to what she said. Alia told her. This thing was getting way out of hand.

And he still didn't know what botherd Pari.
