Chapter 1:New friends

Hayley's P.O.V

 I was at the beach, waiting for Liam, it was really hot outside since it was summer, the sun was shining directly at me. I was happier than ever. Liam and I have been best friends for 15 years now (since we were 3 years old), ever since then we've been best friends and NO we haven't dated, even though i have a little bit of a crush on him.

"Hey, how's the sun?" Liam asked, slowly approaching me.

"Hey, it's amazing!" I answered as I watched him take off his shirt and lie down on his towel. Now we were both laying down on our towel and enjoying the sun.

"You wanna go for a swim?" Liam asked with a suspicious grin on his face.

"Nah, I'm good, I wanna get a nice tan!" I answered cheerfully.

"Well, tough luck!" He picked me up and carried me to the water, while i screamed at him telling him to put me down, By now the water reached his chest and for me that meant up to my neck, then that jerk decided to drop me into the water. It was freezing. We splashed around for a while until we saw the paparazzi taking photos of us, I knew that by tomorrow the newspapers will be filled with headlines like "Has Liam Hemsworth finally found a new girlfriend?" but I didn't really care. We ran back to the sand and dried ourselves.

"Josh invited us over tonight for his birthday, he said he wants us to meet his new girlfriend, you coming, it starts at 5?" Liam asked as we were walking back to our cars.

Shoot. I forgot that it's Josh's birthday. Josh Hutcherson's birthday.

"Who else is coming apart from us and his girlfriend?" 

"No one, he said he doesn't want anyone else, just his closest friends!"

"Then yeah, I'll be there. Pick me up at 4:30? 

"No problem, see you at 4:30, Princess!" We hugged and got in our cars. "Princess" is a cute nickname Liam gave me. On my way home I stopped at Josh's favorite shop and go him a present. I got him a new watch. I looked at the time and it was 1 which meant I had only 3 and a half hours to get ready. 

When i got home, i showered and shaved and went to pick my outfit, i picked out a burgundy skirt that reached up to my mid thigh and a white crop top with long lace sleeves, then i picked out my favorite beige wedges and started doing my hair, I decided on a waterfall braid and then moved to doing my make up. I put on some foundation and concealer, next I did my eyes putting on some eyeliner and mascara and finished off with some peach colored lipgloss. I looked at the time and it was 4:25. I got my white purse and put my phone in it and my house keys and then there was a loud knock on my door. I opened the door and saw Liam leaning his arm on the door frame.

"Impressive and charming" He said to me looking up and down at me

"Why, thank you and I must say you look handsome as well!" I locked my house and jumped in his car. After 20 minutes of driving we reached Josh's house, I jumped our first and ran to the door ringing the doorbell.

"Hey, wow, you look amazing, where's Liam?" Josh said as he hugged me and gave me a quick kiss on the cheek like he always does.

"He's just getting out of the car, I got you a little something, hope you like it!" I gave him and watch and his jaw dropped.

"WOW, you have amazing taste in men's watches, thank you so much, come in" He gestured me inside the house and lead me to the living room where a beautiful girl was sitting on the sofa smiling at me.

"Hayley, this is Caitlin, my new girlfriend, Caitlin, this is Hayley, my best friends since we were 4" Josh introduced me to his girlfriend, she looked amazing, she was wearing a blue dress with a lace belt, her hair was brown-ish/red and her green eyes were sparkling. I can see why Josh is in love with her.

"Hi, wow. your hair is gorgeous, it's so long and blond. You're so beautiful" Caitlin said shaking my hand and smiling.

"Thank you so much, you look incredible as well, I can see why Josh is in love with you!" I answered and she laughed and she hugged me. 

"I can already feel that you two will be best friends" I heard Liam say as he walked in the living room.

The rest of the night went by pretty much fun, me and Caitlin talked about make up and boys while Josh and Liam talked about football and other boys stuff. At about midnight we all were really tired and wanted to go to bed. Josh let me and Liam stay at his apartment for the night because we were too tired to drive back.

"Me and Hayley could sleep down here in the sleeping bags, we still need to talk about some things!" Caitlin said as she was getting 2 sleeping bags out of Josh's room. I went to the bathroom to take my make up off and changed into my pj's, I knew we were staying so i brought them with me, I looked for my toothbrush in my bag and brushed my teeth. I went back downstairs to find Caitlin already in her sleeping bag, asleep. I checked my phone one last time and went to sleep as well.
