5 hours ago..........

"Come on Shel! Lets go to the ice cream shop across the street!" screamed Caleb. "But Caleb? Theres a bunch of traffic down there! We need a car. We can't just walk! We might get run over!" I said. "Aw come on Shelby. Don't be scared. I'll hold your hand if it helps." Caleb said with a smirk. "Shut up. Fine lets go. If we die, I'll haunt you as a ghost." I said jokingly. Caleb laughed with his normal happy self. We walked across the street until we got to the busiest street in town. "Lets run!" He said. "Okay I'll count to 3 so we can run together. 1. 2." And before I got to 3, Caleb sprinted toward the sidewalk. But there was a car coming full speed towards him. "CALEB!!!!!!!" ,I screamed, "CALEB WATCH OUT!!!!!"  BEEP BEEP BEEP!!!! The car crashed into the sidewalk near Caleb. I made traffic stop by making a big scene. I ran over to him. He wasn't breathing. I sobbed into his shirt. "Caleb.... Caleb... Please be alive." The driver of the speeding car ran towards me. "YOU FUCKING KILLED MY BEST FRIEND!!!!!" I shouted to the lady. "OH MY GOODNESS!!! I DID NOT SEE HIM RUNNING! I SWEAR HE WAS FASTER THEN THE LIGHT."  She started crying. I ignored her. "Caleb!!!!!! Caleb don't do this to me!!! Please Caleb........."

I called the police and they got there in about 5 minutes. They called the ambulance and took him to the hospital. I called my parents and Calebs parents and told them what happened. They started crying rivers. Along with me. I prayed in the hospital so Caleb could be alive. His parents were pacing around the waiting room waiting for the news. Would he be alive? I thought, he looked really bad. I was so lost in my thoughts and crying that the nurse had to come in and tap my shoulder. She looked sad. Oh no. Oh no Oh no Oh no Oh no!!!!!!!! "I have terrible news." she said. "FUCK!!!!!!" I shouted. The nurse continued, "He was in very bad condition. Even if he did survive, he would have lost his arm and leg. And of course his memory. The car hit him so hard that-" I interrupted and said "Oh my gosh can you go already?! Hes dead!!!!!!! We don't need to know anything else!!!! Hes dead!! DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now go away!!!!!!!!!!!!!" And after that, I broke down in front of everyone in the waiting room. I sobbed so hard that I needed to be taken away. His parents were so upset that they decided to leave before even seeing him and saying good bye to his dead body. I wanted to say good-bye even if it was he was dead. He was my best friend. My crush. My LIFE!! I didn't even get to tell him how I felt about him. So this is my last and only chance forever. The nurses took me to the room where he was. He was covered up in bruises and his head was wrapped up where he a bad wound. I immediately started crying. The nurses helped me calm down by rubbing my back gently. I stopped. I walked over to him. I just stared. Then I sighed. "Celeb..... Why did you have to die? You left me alone. Now i'm gonna be sad forever. I can't live without you.", I started crying, "You had to be so stupid to run. Why Caleb?! Why?!!?!? Good-bye best friend. I will never ever forget you. And thats a promise that I will keep forever........ And...... I loved you..... And I still do...." Thats when I broke down really hard. The nurses took me to where my parents were. They gave me a hug and took me home.

So thats the story of how my best friend died. I'm heart broken. Its 7:30 p.m right now. Usually he would text me and say "Your precious show, the simpsons is on." I would laugh and say "Hahaha very funny. You know you like it too." He would just send a simply smiley face with a wink. But today, I wouldn't get a text. Or tomorrow. Or the next day. Or ever. I turned on the T.V. Simpsons always cheered me up. Then I started crying. While I was flipping to get to channel 33, I saw Spongebob. Calebs favorite kid show. I turned it off and went to look at myself in the mirror. I was a mess. My face was red and puffy. My hair was messed up. I wanted to die. Then a got a text message. I figured it was another one of my friends texting me to say 'Im sorry' or some other stupid thing. Then I read the name. One message from Caleb<3
