I stared at the message. I swear I have gone crazy if I'm seeing this right. Maybe I'm just imagining it. Yeah. Thats it. I miss Caleb so much that I see his name everywhere. Or maybe its his parents and they sent everyone a message to delete Caleb from their contacts. With shaking hands, I opened the message. It read, 'Hey Shel!!'  This proves it. I have gone totally insane. Caleb was the only one that called me Shel. I rubbed my eyes to make sure I was seeing right. I looked down at the message. It said the same thing. And besides, you need a password to write messages to people on Caleb's phone. No one knows the password besides me. I think maybe I'm dead. I went to the bathroom and splashed freezing water on my face. Then I looked at my reflection in the mirror. "Ughh this is so not helping." I muttered. Then I got an idea. I went downstairs and grabbed my coat and boots and opened the door. "Shelby!! Where are you going?", my mom asked. "Umm... Out. For a walk." I said without looking at her. "But Shelby its freezing outside.", she said quietly. She knew I was sensitive. She didn't wanna yell at me. "I need some time alone." I said. She stayed silent for what seemed hours. Then she sighed, "Shelby...." I stared at her with sad eyes. Then she looked at me. "Don't hurt yourself.... And take a scarf." I rolled my eyes and grabbed a scarf from the coat hanger and shut the door behind me.

I kept walking. This bitter cold air is practically cutting through my skin. But I had to keep walking. Then I got to Calebs house. My idea was to ask his parents if they knew where his cell phone went. I went up the steps toward the door and rang the doorbell. As I was waiting for Mr. and Mrs. Foster I got another text message. One message from Caleb<3. "Seriously?", I whispered. I opened the text. 'Shelby? Are you there? You can't ignore me forever. Even if I'm not involved in your life anymore, you can't forget me. Remember what you told me? That you will never forget me? You made a promise, Shel.'

Okay, what the hell? This can't be Caleb. He died. And didn't I tell him that I would never forget him when he was already dead? Does that mean......? "Shelby!" exclaimed Mrs. Foster. I practically jumped. "Oh, hi Mrs. Foster." I said. "Come in! Its freezing outside!" said Mrs. Foster. I stepped inside the house. It looked the same. Except for a few boxes on the side. With black marker, all the boxes said 'Calebs stuff'. "Oh my gosh...." I ran towards the little blue bear. Then I hugged it. It was Calebs all time favorite childhood toy. I was the only one that knew about it besides his parents. "Shelby?... Would u like to keep that bear? I remembered it was Calebs favorite thing in the world. He would die if I threw it away. Of course... He already is......." She looked at the floor with her sad eyes. "Oh, no! You keep it. So you can have something to remember him by." I said even though I would have loved to keep the bear. "No no no. Keep it. I have many memories to remember him by. I'm sure he would want you to keep it. He was your best friend. And you were his. So keep it." "Are you sure?"  "Yes. Now why did you stop by Shelby? Is there something you wanted to tell me or did you just wanna see Calebs house to remember him?" I suddenly remembered why I came here in the first place. "Umm yes. I have a question for you, Mrs. Foster." I said. "Sure. I'll be happy to answer it. Do you need Steve here too?" She said. "Oh no. Just you."

After I asked if Calebs cell phone was still in good shape or if she knew anything about it, Mrs. Foster stayed silent for a moment. "Calebs cell phone was crushed by the driver that killed him. Why do you ask?" I immediately froze. It was crushed? Then who is sending me those messages that is claiming to be Caleb? "Shelby, are you alright? You look very pale. Do you want anything to drink?" She asked with a hint of concern. "No. In fact, I have to go. My mom is probably expecting me to get home now. Thanks for everything Mrs. Foster. Have a good evening!" And after that, I rushed out the door, with the bear in my hand.

After I got home, I sprinted to my room. I need to ask this 'Caleb' imposter some questions. I typed in 'Who are you? And what happened to Caleb?'

I waited for answer. It seemed like hours passed by. But no it was only a few seconds. The vibration of my cell phone creeped me out. 'Shelby, this IS Caleb. Don't play dumb. You know perfectly well its me.'  I thought for a response. And I had one.

'If you are Caleb, then prove it.''

"What do you want to know?'

'Your middle name. Your insanely embarrassing middle name.'

' Pepe. And I never told anyone besides you. Anything else?'

Hes right. Whoa this is creepy. I texted back.

'Okay. Your correct. When did we meet?'

'Kindergarden, when you were sticking a crayon up your nose and it got stuck and I was the only one there so I had to stick my fingers up your nose and get the crayon out. Then you sneezed in my face and we both ended up laughing and became good friends. Anything else?'

I laughed at that memory. I remembered perfectly like it was yesterday. Then I became serious. This is fucking weird. I decided to ask him another question.

'How do you know all this stuff and what really happened to you?'

'Its for me to know and you to find out.. ;)'

I shuddered. Seriously? Has someone been stalking Caleb this WHOLE time? Cause I don't believe this is really him. He died. I watched him. I decided it was time for me to go to bed. It has been a super long sad day.

Next morning, I didn't feel like going to school, so I logged onto facebook. Then I logged on to get a surprise. I was looking through the statuses when I got a chat message. It said 'Hi Shelby!! Good morning!! :)'

It was from Caleb. I closed the laptop and threw it. Impossible. Who the hell knows Calebs password but me?! I need mental therapy.... And fast!!!!!
