Chapter 1 - The Mall
Ouch! I run as fast as I can, trying to get supplies from the abandoned mall was a big mistake. All I could think of are Ants. Ants. Ants. Everyone at the station knows never to approach them but I guess I thought I was special for some reason. At some point everyone thinks there special once in there lives otherwise the lottery wouldn't still exist in the new world. I suddenly fall down to my feet, looking back I see a rusty nail protruding right from the centre of my foot. I try to get up as fast as I can knowing I don't have much time before the ants catch up to me. Frantically I look around me looking for a quick place to hide knowing that soon it will be the only thing between my life and an ants good meal. Most of the stores were looted long ago by the gangs that popped up after the war meaning most of the shelves were knocked over, and glass shrapnel was everywhere. Nowhere safe to hide, ants can smell live animals and humans, most animals have evolved to learn to survive in the new world. I can only limp and eventually I can hear them scurrying behind me. I'm out of time.
