Chapter 1
| Ari's POV |
"Yah, you're so fucking annoying! Just go upstairs!" Yoongi yelled. He was upset because I talked to a boy he doesn't approve of. Apparently they had beef and he doesn't want me to grow feelings for him.
"Look, I'm sorry for talking to a boy! It's bound to happen when I get older!" I argued. Yoongi didn't have a problem with it before. Why start now?
"Yeah, when you get older! Not when your 15! And you just turned 15! The boy you're talking to is 17."
"Oh wow, 2 years. Such a big deal." I mocked, making him even more upset than before.
"Yah! You think that this is funny! You think that talking to an older boy is funny." He said kicking the the sofa and grasping his green hair in the process.
Aish, he's way worse than Hopi oppa. And he's a drama king!
But, don't worry, this is how we argue. Some may say that no brother and sister should ever argue like this. But this is us, and we aren't the typical brother and sister.
"Lighten up Yoongi-ah! I'm not going to date him! I'm just talking to him, as a friend!"
"Oh my god. You know, sometimes I wish you weren't my sister." He said. Everything stopped and the atmosphere became tense. Yoongi softened after what he said. He took a step forward, and I consciously took a step backward.
He didn't say that did he? He couldn't have. After all the times we've argued, and trust me.. It's been a lot. He's never said this to me.
"Sis."
I held up my hand and waved it at him, indicating for him to just shut up. Then, I looked at the sofa and tried my best to hold in my tears as I picked up my phone.
"Okay. I'm just gonna..go." I said brushing past him and running out the front door into the dark night.
"Ari. Ari please. I didn't mean it!" He shouted after me his voice cracking a little bit. I ignored it though and just kept running. I ran and ran until I couldn't run anymore.
I swear I could hear his footstep chasing after me, but when I turned around, I didn't see anything. Only the moon that shined bright in the dark sky.
But after minutes of just looking at the sky, It didn't take me long to notice that I was in front of my best friends house. Hana.
I banged on her door constantly until she opened it. In her pajamas I bought her with her hair in a ponytail. She has always been pretty.
"Who the hell is- Ari?"
"Um, let me come in. It's cold and I really don't feel like standing. My feet hurt." I said pushing past her and plopping down on her couch. She shut the door and walked over to me.
"What's wrong?"
"Um, Yoongi and I got into this argument and he told me that he sometimes wishes that I wasn't his little sister and-" my voice cracked indicating that I was getting ready to cry.
"It really hurt." And then I silently broke down on her sofa. She enveloped me into a warm hug. It let me know that I was safe and sound.
"I'm sure he didn't mean it. Yoongi is known to have a sharp tongue. He was just caught up in the moment." She muttered. I knew she was right, but I was still upset. Not as upset as I first was when he said it. But I'm still upset.
"I don't care. You know, Yoongi and I argue a lot. But never has he once said that." I said drying my tears.
"What happened?" She asked as she took off my jacket and threw it on the coffee table.
"I was talking to this boy, um what's his name. Chung! His name was Chung. Well, him and Yoongi don't get along and he wanted me to stop talking to him. He thought that I would catch feelings, but Chung isn't even good looking. I don't like him in that way! He's just a friend." I looked up at her.
She nodded letting me know I could continue.
"So I told him to loosen up and that's when Yoongi told me that he wishes that I wasn't his sister sometimes." I finished.
"Aww babe. He's protecting his little sister! Give him some credit." She said slowly getting up, releasing her grip.
"I know, I know." I said standing up.
She smiled and went to her front door.
"Uh what are you doing?"
"Oh, I thought you would want to make up with him. He's probably looking for you Ari. Don't do him like that." She confessed. I sighed.
"Give me a few days and I'll make up with him," she rolled her eyes. "I need time." I continued. She nodded and crossed her arms.
"Well, you know where the guest room is. Sleep tight." She said walking upstairs, with me trailing behind like a lost puppy.
She went into her room and I went into the guest room. I decided to turn on my phone and when I did, I had 46 missed calls and 52 messages.
Probably from Yoongi and his friends.
I threw my phone on the beanbag beside me and climbed into bed. Not even bothering to take off my shoes.
I have a lot of thinking to do.
