The Third Letter

Okay, now I know I must be going crazy. I know that were only TWO letters before. Yet somehow now there's a third letter. Must be some kind of prank by one of the other guys. Pretty damn elaborate - taking the time to write in German and pretending to be some young girl.

I'm going to figure out who's doing this but meanwhile here's the third letter.

"Yesterday something strange happened. When I opened up my papers, I found some strange words written. It turns out to be English. Someone is saying that they found my letters and they're somewhere else.

One of the other girls who studied abroad is translating the words for me. Anna says that the writing seems to be from an American prisoner.

I thought that maybe she or someone else was playing some kind of joke on me, but that makes no sense. The papers are kept hidden where no one can find them. Besides why would anyone do such a thing?

Is this some kind of miracle? I do not believe in magic or superstition but how else can I explain what has happened?

Anna thinks that this may be the work of some evil spirit. She says that the Kabbalah talks about such forces at work. But that still does not make any sense.

So whoever you are, if you are some dybbuk, leave me alone. This is not a neglected mezuzot."
