Birthday - Katniss and Peeta one shot

Birthday Suprise

I wake up to Katniss staring down at me. "Morning birthday boy she says".
"Morning love ". I say " get dressed we're going somewhere special today dress warm". Katniss says
" ok I say leaning down to kiss her."  So after we eat some left over cheese buns from last nights dinner we leave the house to Katniss's special place . It takes about ten minutes to get there when we arrive  I ask Katniss where we were she says " we are at the meadow my father used to take me here all the time before he died". she says  getting teary eyed " Katniss please don't cry it hurts me when you cry come here I take her in my arms and tell her it's ok  he's in a better place they all are ". I know she says "anyway let's get back to why I brought you here for you birthday". she says handing me a rectangular shaped box. I open the box and don't believe my eyes it's a positive pregnancy test " are you serious Katniss ". I say " yes Peeta your going to be a daddy in a matter of 9 months ." She says I  couldn't contain my excitement  I picked her up spun her around and kissed her passionately. " Thank you Katniss you don't know how happy I am."
" your welcome Peeta." She says . As we walk back home I imagine Katniss holding a baby with my blonde hair and Katniss's grey eyes.
9 Months Later
"She's beautiful ". Katniss says Willow Primrose Mellark was born on a hot summer day at 7 pounds 2 ounces 19 inches long. Willow has Katniss's  grey eyes and my blue eyes. I've never imagined I'd be here today married to the girl I've had a crush on since I've been five then thrown into 2 hunger games and being hijacked then participating in a rebellion buts it's all worth it because I've got Katniss and a beautiful daughter which I love both of them very much and would gladly go through it all million times if I got the two of them in the end every time. I snap out of my thought when I hear Katniss ask if I would like to hold willow while Katniss went to go change. " I would love to ". I say she smiles and walks away to go change. I look down at my beautiful daughter and think good things really do replace the bad .
