Interview 10: Dat_Gurl_X

Hey there, Dat_Gurl_X! So...just to start things off...how old are you?

I am 14.

How did you find out about Wattpad?

I first heard about Wattpad through a friend who swore it was the coolest thing ever and she hasn’t been proved wrong yet!

Are writing and reading one of your favourite hobbies and what else do you like to do?

Writing and reading are one of my favourite hobbies but apart from that I love to skate and sketch!

Who is your favourite author?

 My favourite author has to be J.K. Rowling as she is simply inspirational.

Are you experiencing writer's block at the moment?

I don’t have writers block right now (thank goodness) – I feel I could write endlessly!

What do you enjoy most about writing and reading?

I love how when you are writing a story you get lost in a world of imagination and it is the only time where you can create whatever you want. I like reading because it gets your imagination going and I love how good stories get me lost in them and that sometimes it feels like I am right there in the story!

What stories have you currently got on Wattpad?

I used to have a story on Wattpad called Blinded By Love but I got writers block and sort of just lost interest in writing it, but now I'm currently writing a romance novel  called Forever Isn’t Long.

They sound interesting. Please can you give us a summary of all of them?

I won’t bother telling you about Blinded By Love because it is pointless, as it will never get finished. Forever Isn't Long is about an outcasted boy named Christen. He has no friends, never mind a girlfriend! He has lost all hope in life and swears he will never find love. That is, until the new boy Michael joins his school. Suddenly life isn't so meaningless and they soon fall in love. Their love is forbidden though, and they struggle to keep it from their parents. One day a photo of them is leaked out all over the school and as a result they go on the run together. Tragedy strikes as they argue and Christen has a fatal accident. Will he survive and will their love for each other remain?

What are your favourite genres to write and read?

Hmmm, I love to write romance stories as for some reason they seem to come more naturally to me however I love to read stories about wizards!

Are there any books you would recommend people to read on Wattpad?

I think people should read a story called Lay Me Down. It's amazing!

To finish off, what do you want to achieve on Wattpad?

Basically, I joined Wattpad because I want people to read my stories and I want them to be as hooked as I am and enjoy them. It would also be really good if I ended up getting one of my stories published one day. It’s my dream!
