Foreign Friend (Shouyou x Reader)

Impending Doom

after practice, you and Shoyou go home

"UGH" Shoyou exclaimed as you were walking to your bikes.

"you know, the fact that Kegeyama did that is kind of amazing really" You say trying to calm him down, you see a slight tear start to form in his eye, you two face each other. You realise that you're actually a bit taller than him, you two lock eyes for a second, you sort of feel a bit of something between the two of you.

"we should get our bikes" Shoyou says moving away

"yea" you say in agreement, while also trying to shake that experience off

the two of you bike home in silence, yo go to Shoyou's house to do homework like you usually do.

[3 hours later]

"remember! The game is coming up soon! if you want to practice we can go to the gym during lunch or something!" Hinata said

"dude the game is like 2 weeks from now, stop stressing" you say as you put your bag on

"right, I guess I'm just stressed about Kageyama and what were going to do without him."

You go home which isn't really going home its just walking one house down and you're there. You're trying to go to sleep later that night but something is keeping you up, you're not sure if it's that you can literally hear crickets from your bedroom because the walls are so thin or that you're worried that you're going to run into Kageyama tomorrow, but if you do, you'll probably have hinata there because you two are inseparable. You decide to sleep on it and go to sleep.

[THE NEXT DAY]

You see Shoyou bike down the street ahead of you, you're too tired to bike ahead so you keep at your pace.

you eventually meet up with Shoyou in the bike storage lot.

"i couldn't sleep last night" Shoyou said rubbing his head

"me either, i think some of the stress is mutual" You say locking your bike in.

You and Shoyou are walking to your first period class when you see Noya and Tanaka

"hey! what happened yesterday? I saw Kageyama getting milk a lot more angriy than usual" Noya says stepping in front of you

"Oh nothing really we kinda just walked to Shoyou's house to do homework" You say

"Yea, I also saw you two lovebirds staring at each other in the bike lot, ha GAY" Kinoshita says cutting you off

"Hey, how about you shut the fuck up thanks" Tanaka says while shooing him away

You two go to your first period class, no sign of Kageyama yet, but you're waiting for the impending akward/painful interaction with Kayeyama

[After School]

You, Shoyou, Tanaka and Noya are walking to the market to meet Ukai because there was no practice that day when you see Kageyama walking down the road.

"awe shiet" Tanaka says rolling up his sleeves

Noya signals Tanaka to stop while you and Shoyou are fiddling to see what you two are going to do. He turns around and squints his eyes.

"You" Kageyama says pointing at you, he walks up to you really closely, grabs you by the collar and pins you against the wall, he raises his fist when you start to hear screaming, Shoyou runs up to Kageyama and jumps on him therefore letting you to escape his grasp

"JESUS FUCKING CHRIST WHY DO YOU HAVE TO DO THIS, YOU DIDNT GET CHOSEN FOR A LINEUP GET OVER IT AND STOP ACTING LIKE A FOUR YEAR OLD" Shoyou yells, you've never seen him so agitated before. You then see Tanaka and Noya running to the two desperately trying to rip Shoyou off of him.

After that you walk home with Shoyou. You can start to see his eyes welling up. You hug him to make him feel better.

"I'm really sorry for what happened back there, it's just that-" Shoyou says as you cut him off

"It's fine, lets just go home now." You say.
