001| That Thing Called Hope

Drip drop goes the sound of the broken sewer, the water slithered the greenish tiles. The scent of death and rotting bodies filled the atmosphere.

That was the scene of their daily lives, as of now.

They have no more knowledge of the world above let alone even their own crews.

What happened ever since they disappeared?

Where they replaced?

Impel Down was quiet.

Awfully quiet.

When all seems lost, hope survives.

Or so they say.

They've given up on that thing called hope.

"What's with you guys?!" A voice bellowed and echoed in the hallways.

"Ha?"

"How can you give up so easily?"

A sigh was heard. "Here we go again"

They were so accustomed to that line already, that line from that ever-enthusiastic captain.

"Aren't you getting tired of that line?"

"Face it, he's too stupid to understand reality"

"Fate states he will never accept anything you will throw at him"

To them, it was stupidity and not hopefulness he was showing to them.

It's been so long.

When was the last time they were with their crew?

When was the last time they were in the high seas to search for Roger's treasure?

How did they end up here?

Marines.

All they remember were the Marines.

And somehow, their Devil Fruit powers are all gone or was it the Kairoseki?

Some of the Supernovas slept, wanting to avoid the petty fight of their fellow pirates. A few agreed with the Straw Hat captain but gradually, after ten months of capture, they didn't gave a second thought of whatever his mouth spoke of.

Friends.

Crew.

Hope.

"Shut up! Whether we know them or not, someday, somewhat, somehow, someone's going to save us!"

"Straw Hat! For the last time, nobody's going to go and save u-"

The pirate was cut off from his words because of a violent eruption from the surface and the Supernovas weren't so sure if it was a good or a bad thing.

It was enough to wake all of them up to the realization that the Straw Hat's claims were turning into reality.

But would it really be a pleasant kind of reality?

This is such an old idea from meh. I often changed the plot but I decided to settle with this one. What do you think about the start? I enjoyed making the following chapter though because it introduced the character I made.

I'd like to know your opinion. Don't be afraid to comment. :D
