Chapter 2: Trial By Fire

        Jason woke to a dark room with blank white walls stained with blood, he sits up, cracked his neck and grins with a low-toned growl. He stands and relocates all of his bones with a look of pleasure on his face. After he finishes with cracking his bones he paces back and forth looking at a mirror on the opposite side of the room. He walks to it smells, closes his eyes and turns back to the wall. He opens his mouth and says in a demonic voice "Ah no visitors today what shame I wanted someone to play with" he smiles and laughs, looks down and his eyes turn a dark red then to a fiery orange. Jason moves to the corner of the room and sits down still with a smile from ear to ear.

        The old doctor comes to another set of one-sided glass but his time it is bullet proof and starts to stare at Jason. Jason glares back looking like he knows that he is there and cracks a smile. Jason gets up slowly while raising his head to look at the glass. As the doctor blinks Jason is gone he gets closer to the glass and starts to breathe heavily while starting to sweat. As he starts to look away Jason slams into the glass cracking it than he crawls back to the blind side that he hid in. The doctor looks to his right to see another doctor he says while making an expression of disbelieve and fear "3 hours after its transformation and it has enough power to crack bullet proof glass, no other subject could do that at full power, I fear that it cannot be contained, re-enforce the glass make it sure that it can't escape." The doctor nods and leaves. The old doctor starts to leave and Jason stands up and says "You will not hold me I will rip you apart limb by limb and dance in the shower of blood" the old doctor is frozen with fear and starts to walk. He takes one look back to see Jason mimicking his exact moves with an evil smile on his face.

        The old doctor leaves the room to hear Jason's words ringing in his head. Jason starts to hit the metal door keeping him in and the old doctor looks at the door and starts to stumble away. Jason stops hitting the door and yells at the ceiling "YOU CANT ESCAPE ME!" And he starts to hit the door faster and harder while screaming. An alarm sounds around the facility and a squad of guards comes and they turn off the safeties on their rifles. Jason punches though the door, the room goes silent and Jason puts his eye to the opening and growls. He backs up and kicks the door off the walls killing the guards in the middle of the squad. The walls crack and puck up dust around Jason cell. As the dust clears Jason tilts his head and pounces on the nearest guard headhunting his helmet smashing it in, and the guard falls to the ground blood pouring from the cracks in his helmet. Jason cracks a smile and picks up a shard of metal and runs to the next guard and slices both of his Achilles tendons. Jason walks around the guard and places his hand on his head. Jason picks him up with one hand, crushes his head and tosses him to the side. Jason starts to run though the facility throwing doctors into the walls staining them crimson. He smells out the old doctor and can't find his scent anywhere so he starts to hunt down and kill all the guards, doctors and their families. Jason rips though the gates to the base and sprints to the closer guard does a corkscrew snapping his neck and throws his shard of metal into the others head. He jumps though a steel door and rips a doctors spin out and uses it as a whip to kill a guard coming through the door. He keeps going the hallway after the signs tom the reactor. He sprints past all the guards to have enough time to get to the actor and get the head scientist. He gets to the reactor and breaks down the door. He runs down the metal stairs to get to the controls to it. He takes a second to look around the empty underground dome. He looks at the panel and starts to growl. He rips the controls of the mount on starts to rip wires off the reactor with "COOLANT" on the pipes. He starts to scream as he jumps to the door and looks back to see a translucent blue fluid pouring out of the pipes. He starts to smile and giggle as the system starts to say "system overheating explosion imminent in 10 minutes." Jason turns and runs to the exit to find the doctor.

        He walks out and the old doctor comes out from a truck. The reactor explodes and the shockwave knocks the guards near the door off their feet. Jason smiles and starts to stomp towards him than a group of guards come out of cloak and electrocute him until smoke starts to come from his mouth. He turns to one and bites his arm breaking most of his teeth because of a steel plate under his coat. The other guard stabs him in the base of the spine and Jason falls to the ground. Another guard walks out of the base and takes off his hood. He says "Their all dead every one of them dead" the old doctor sighs and walks over to Jason and stabs a needle into his head. He puts it into his coat and looks at his watch and says "7:24 pm 8/4/2087 the day that my project was successful but failed and I had to terminate it, Good bye you monster have fun in hell." "Let's go, get me off this planet" he looks back and says "leave him here; let the desert bury him for us." The doctor gets into the truck and looks back as he drives away. Hours pass but the desert is silent except for the crackling of the lab fire. A car stops by Jason's body and a man and a woman get out and try to resuscitate him but can feel only a feint pulse. They take him into their car and head for the hospital; little do they know they have a mass murder in their back seat.
